these strings broke putting them on (and i did not over-tighten them).

Just went to put them on my Gibson acoustic and the G string broke before I could get it up to "G"

Not sure why but 2 of the strings broke before they even hit where they were tuned.

I did have the high G string break once on a set while installing them, but a quick email direct to D'Addario fixed that.

They were not as bright sounding or crisp as I'm used to with a new set of strings.

The coating on these strings is not as slick as on Elixir strings, but it's noticeably there in comparison with the standard D'Addarios.
