They have a great crisp, clean sound when I fingerpick and have nice sustain.
Sound incredible with crisp, bright tone and great sustain
It is true that new Elixirs are very bright in tone, while the D'Darrios have a nice warm tone at the start, but in my view, after about two weeks the Elixirs are broken in and keep a warm tone with great sustain for months after.
When I first put these strings on the sounded great, good tone and sustain, but after 2 weeks were totally dead.
Mostly, just love the sound, not quite as crisp as the Lights but really carry the tone so well and great sustain
The benefit of coated strings is, as the box says, longer life.
In my husband's opinion (a true audiophile in all senses of the word), "the D'Addario EXPs are the most natural-sounding, longest-lasting coated strings available that I have used."According to the manufacturer, EXP coated phosphor bronze strings produce warm, bright, well balanced acoustic tone and 4 times more life
The sound and feel quite similar and I really appreciate the long life both offer
I've tried other strings and can't get enough life out of them
beautiful sound, long life, a little slipperier than elixirs but good
A little too much squeak but sounds good!!so much better priced than its competition, I got mines through subscribe and save and save a lot I did !!
They are cheap (about 1/3 the price of Elixirs), so I guess if you don't mind replacing your strings every couple weeks then these aren't necessarily bad
I`m happy with my buy, 'cuase this strings are very nice and the price is very good too
The price on the strings is good, better than retail, and worth the effort.
Use them on my Martin and really get the sound I want, need from a good set of strings for a reasonable price.
I certainly recommend D'Addario nylon strings on classical guitars.
They were not as bright sounding or crisp as I'm used to with a new set of strings.
If you have a too bright, 'brassy' sounding acoustic, try these out
I remember when I first started playing I thought that the similarly-coated Elixir strings were the bee's knees, but after playing for a while began to prefer the tone of the less expensive D'Addario strings as they seemed to break in quicker and not retain that twangy sound as long as the Elixirs.
They aren't as smooth as D'addario's Silk and Steel/Silver strings that I have on my other acoustic, but those lack a certain amount of mid range sounds as well
I thought that I needed a really expensive guitar in order to get great sound, and, although that's true to an extent, strings are just as important if not more important.
Bright sounding guitar strings that have beautiful dynamics
After changing my strings and putting these in, my guitar sounds much different, much better
I didn’t think strings were so important but it turned a $150 cheap guitar to a concert-ready tone.
great acoustic guitar strings, bright tone and lasts longer than expected

An ultra-fine layer of EXP Coating is bonded to the phosphor bronze wrap wire which is then wound onto the hex-shaped core wire
The result is a built-in barrier against the corrosion and wear that can quickly sap the life out of your strings and your sound
EXP coated phosphor bronze strings have a natural round wound feel and sound fresh and bright with a "new string tone" that lasts three to four times longer than traditional guitar strings.
