D'Addario has taken a nod from strings of the past, and like Martin's "Retro" series of strings (which I still find too garish until they break in, taking ages), John Pearse's Pure Nickel (which can be a little dead on some guitars), and a few others, these strings are meant to let you hear more of the nuance of the guitar and less of the string itself.

, “Nickel Bronze delivers unrivaled clarity, resonance and projection” is probably true, based on my limited strings experience.
-
However in comparison they do not perform as well as the Nickel Bronze.

I like the bright nickel finish, though the red phosphor bronze strings really flatter my koa Alvarez Yairi
-
They stay tuned well and have a nice crisp n' brifht sound

2 days in, E string broke

Not only do these strings sound good from the top E string to the bottom E string, I noticed that the sustain is excellent and I'm tuning my guitar's less often.
