The tone had been sounding thin to me and these really work it up.

I usually use the 80/20 type of strings because I like the mellower tone.

I put them on a Seagull S6, and normally the guitar had a warm tone, and even with other types of strings (Ernie Ball, Elixer, Martin, other D'Addario strings), I always loved the sound

On my Breedlove guitar (spruce top with solid rose wood back and sides) these strings have a bright but balance tone.

You need to decide if you like the tone, but I think you will.

I wouldn't recommend them for immediate use in stage or studio as they don't sound good at first, but if you want one good set of strings that will last for a while with good tone and even intonation, I think they're a good buy

2 days in, E string broke

Not only do these strings sound good from the top E string to the bottom E string, I noticed that the sustain is excellent and I'm tuning my guitar's less often.
