I purchased this item 2 years ago, and within a year the left channel quit working when the unit got hot

The sound is excellent and it's a nice little unit

though, it could use a few vent holes as the unit gets warm VERY quickly and it stays warm (same temperature) the entire time.

The unit runs a little hot and I would have liked to see built in Bluetooth connectivity.

Good unit for applications where a small stereo amp is needed

Unit becomes mildly warm during prolonged use, but not hot at allCons:- Small audible hiss when no source playing, though imperceptible from more than a foot or so away.

Nice little unit, but I needed more power to drive my destop computer speakers.

I'm wondering if other reviewers had either a defective unit, or a noisy source plugged in when they tested that?The power supply is a 24VDC switching type brick (about the size of the old laptop supplies from the 90s

so I guess I just got a bad unit
