The instrument is absolutely beautiful and the sound quality is nothing short of angelic

I play professionally, not with this bass, so I have other very nice instruments

That said, Dean makes a fine instrument.

My only complaint would be that the packaging it was shipped in was a bit flimsy and not sufficient to protect the instrument; there was a small crack on the back of the bass.

I've been playing guitar/bass for 16 years and own several expensive instruments and this well built, inexpensive gem has no problem keeping up.

This instrument surpassed my expectations on sound, quality, and factory setup.
