As far as that goes I find the defender cameras to have good transmission range & reception....image clarity is very good for a security system

Another nice feature is the intercom... the cameras have audio reception/transmission capability so you can hear outside as well as say hello to visitors

You can set alert mode that when cameras detect any motion they alert you in the house that cameras work like a sensor.
