    Dell UltraSharp U2412M 24-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor

    • The only problem I could see someone having with this monitor at this price range is that it lacks an HDMI connection
    • Well packaged, no problems
    • Major problems, defective, but no problems with the return
    • The bigger problem however is that this display port NEVER works
    • The yellow tint is just a super annoying problem for me because when I saw the skin tones of a video I was working on, it was disgustingly contrasty and saturated and yellow/orange
    • The problem is the lack of HDMI ports :(, I had to buy a converter for my Macbook pro.
    • I hope that the seller reads this and remedies the problem!
    • Only drawback is the problem common to all IPS panels, it is difficult to get perfect black contrast
    • It was probably an uneven distribution of brightness / luminance, possibly a backlighting problem.
    • I wished it didn't have that problem since I really like the new revision (mainly due to the lighter antiglare coating)
    • Would like to know how to correct this problem.
    • The problem was quite intermittent at first.
    • Not everyone will suffer the same problem but, it's a possibility
    • I work in a very bright room with huge windows wide open in Hot TX and I have no problem looking at the screen and glare issues, of course there will always be a little glare but nothing too annoying and unbearable
    • No issues, no problems...
    • No problem with antiglare, white looks great, no light bleeding, nothing
    • Alienware tech support said there are no particular capabilities I am missing with plugnplay anyhow, so since the monitor works fine in this mode it is another negligible problem.
    • Now I know these seem like trivial, superficial problems, but I expected much more from such a highly regarded monitor that costs about $280 average (at the time).Overall, I'm happy with the monitor, but just beware of what it really is before you dive in
    • In other words this yellow tint issue is in my opinion a phony problem that stems from ignorance
    • Ah, if all my problems were this bad I would be living a truly divine life.
    • The only thing that corrects the problem is to turn the computer off completely.
    • The problem I had was flickering
    • I tried 27" monitors but in every case there was a problem with them - color desaturation, glass chips, LED bleeding, dead pixels, stuck pixels, defective ports, etc.
    • If I had it to do over, I would still buy one of these again and recommend the U2412M to others looking for a reasonably priced monitor with great performance.
    • This is revealing, since when emursing myself in reviews for monitors, I started to feel like the 2412M would be a 'compromise'
    • I'm not a techie, but I did need a big screen for work, researched what was out there thoroughly, took it all in, and landed on the Dell Ultra Sharp U2412M 24-inch
    • Overall, I highly recommend the U2412M as its the best bang for your buck for an IPS monitor in the $300 range.
    • We have developers and support staff using them and they love the U2412M.
