    Dell UltraSharp U2412M 24-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor

    • IMO.These screens are great for the price, and they're not 16:9 which is a HUGE, HUGE benefit for those of us that value their vertical viewing rights (yes, 120px is a huge difference, especially if you do the math).
    • Good color, great screen size, huge productivity increase especially in a dual-monitor setup
    • If you can't deal with the screen coating or sit the right distance from the screen and are used to clear screens
    • the screen started to flutter when I started a PowerPoint slideshow
    • It's an effective use of space giving good screen real estate, and this monitor is the perfect price-point solution for the large center panel
    • Screen working great.
    • Great screen, have 2 next to each other, thinking about getting a third one
    • the dark pixel clusters look like the monitor is dirty or has a smudge....tried to clean the screen multiple times but the dark spots are still there
    • great 1920x1200 24" screen and runs much cooler than my 2 year older 24" dell screen.worth every penny
    • Although the 1920x1200 isn't AS sharp as the retina screen, it comes pretty close.
    • Nice screen
    • your screen won't die if you maybe accidentally hit it a little.
    • I love the screens so much that I have two of them
    • Great screen.
    • I have installed the PowerNap program that came with it on my main computer, and the screen-dimming when the screen saver goes on works just fine; there is a noticeable time for the screen to go back to full brightness after the mouse is moved/key is pressed to end the screensaver, but it's worth it to me to save energy.
    • Love the big screen.
    • Solid colors do not look like solid colors, bright colors look murky, and no matter what you do, you can't get over looking past the "dirty" screen
    • One of the best business grade screens we have ever used.
    • I love the taller screen(more verticle pixels) as it doesn't stretch the horizontal view as some others do
    • This is great screen - right from the box with an easy set-up
    • Has good screen resolution
    • While not as shiny as an Apple Thunderbolt Display, but for less than half the cost, this screen is super bright and detailed.
    • Beautiful screen, higher resolution than most similar sized monitors.
    • WAY too easy to scratch the screen
    • You could be viewing this review from this awesome screen
    • Obviously Dell is either selling an old recalled version of this now trying to get rid of old stock, OR they are now putting a cheaper screen in these monitors
    • Sharp clarity, bright screen.
    • Sharp clarity, bright screen.
    • If you don't like matte screens, get a glossy, but be aware you will then have to deal with reflections in bright environments
    • The screen is non-reflective, not glossy and has crisp fonts - exactly what I need for my work
    • I love this screen a lot and am glad I bought it.
    • The screen is huge, very bright and crystal clear
    • Good screen and nice response time, and crisp letters.
    • Great screens for the price and no issues so far.
    • And best of all, it has a very glare-resistant screen, which is super-important if you use it in a room with windows
    • If offers more flexibility on tilt, swivel, pivot and height adjustments, which makes a perfect screen for your station.
    • The screen is evenly bright/dark (sure, some bleeding but not in a distracting way), and I find the colors very accurate
    • Great screen
    • I love the high end Dell WUXGA screen of my laptop--super crisp and sharp, same resolution as this monitor but on 15"
    • Screen looks great to my old eyes with sharp images, etc.
    • This monitor has what I would call great screen resolution and color compared to my other monitors
    • First there were intermittent horizontal lines, then a lot of flickering, then a black screen
    • The screen is almost completely smooth and dark when the PC first boots and there are no dead or stuck pixels
    • I hate glossy screens with a passion.+ Convenient USB ports on the side
    • My first thought was that it was dirty and dusty from packaging and shipping, so I gave it a good cleaning with a screen cleaning product.
    • Screen doesn't look good out of the box
    • Love the matte screen for depth
    • I never appreciated the non-glare screen until I had this one.
    • time(although all monitors are roughly the same anyway)-Bright screen-Great color depth while retaining nearly perfect blacks and whites for an E-IPS monitor
    • The shiny laptop screen sitting next to this monitor that clearly reflects the trees out the window behind me reminds me that this coating is really effective.
    • The screen is nice and large, I have to say that 16:10 makes a very noticeable difference from 16:9.
    • Unlike most of the reviewers here who turn the brightness down to about 35, I'm one of those people who like a nice bright screen and find the factory pre-set 75 level to be just perfect for my eyes
    • Love this screen
    • However, before buying on Amazon I purchased one from Microcenter which had the yellowing (Revision A01, manufactured July 2014).These are a steal as they come with a fully functional stand, and I prefer the design over the Asus VS24A I had previously (Dell has a more pleasing design and no screen burn so far)
    • Games and pictures look very nice on this, and the resolution is a nice break from my laptop's cheap 1366x768 gloss screen
    • Since the beginning I have been unable to get picture perfect screen -- I've calibrated it with the Spyder device and it did not improve the picture quality
    • I did some research in the way-back machine and it seems like I paid close to $500 7 years ago when I got my old 20", so paying 300 for a larger, higher res and more vibrant screen, is really quite a good deal... especially since 2007 dollars are about 50% + more valuable than our inflated monopoly money today
    • This screen is AMAZING
    • Great price and screens were what I expected!
    • -Nice sturdy and adjustable stand-Rotatable screen-Easy to use menu-USB 2.0 hub built-in-Decent warranty from DellCONS:-HIGH
    • Excellent screen and a big improvement over last one.
    • I'm returning this one, but I learned for a split screen (mock dual monitor) I need at least a
    • Nice bright screen and a variety of signal inputs
    • There is one other reviewer here who mentions a "dirty" or "dusty" screen appearance for white & off-white screen backgrounds -- I have noticed the same
    • awesome monitor, big screen, 1920 x 1200, what more do you want
    • Small light bleed on one of the corners ( This is very small and noticeable only when the screen is completely dark, this may vary with each monitor
    • I would highly recommend this screen to anyone.
    • If you have extra money and want the bragging rights or your business depends on being top of the line than look elsewhere but for the money and what I do this is one great screen
    • The screen is bright and crisp.
    • With a DVI adapter into an HDMI out, the screen was shaky and couldn't fix it.
    • The color was good and it didn't suffer from the intense blue tints some of the first LED backlit screens did which made me avoid them for years
    • Bright, clear screen.
    • The dusty-looking screen is very distracting
    • Sharp picture, large screen, easy to install.
    • Pros: - great picture color - slim bezel (border) around screen (excellent for multi-display setup
    • this screen seems perfect, and I wouldn't want it any glossier
    • Its screen is anti-glare
    • This screen has no glare and my husband says this ROCKS for coding.
    • This monitor has sharp colors, a large screen, a quick response time, and much more.
    • Don't mirror - operate it with your laptop in clamshell mode, and you'll get the full high resolution of this gorgeous screen
    • second one also has a tiny bit of clouding in the corners, but only when viewed really close-up, and mostly not visible at all except on a completely dark screen
    • I probably would have returned the screen on the basis of numbers, missing blacks, limited color range, etc
    • The retina screen on macbook pro is sharp, clear and easy to read
    • I enjoyed the big screen.
    • Wow, this screen is gorgeous
    • I am also a fan of the MATTE screens whcih Dell always have, do not like the glossy screens when you can literally look at yourself at certain light.
    • Very sharp screen with incredible color contrast
    • But perhaps I was expecting the screen to be more like the retina display on my iPad???
    • (If you get one this monitor is horrid)-IPS glow/bleed when on dark screens (however this is common with IPS technology)-No HDMI port
    • I have always enjoyed my Dell flat-screens and felt they were a grade above the alternatives in build quality.
    • It's a nice big screen
    • Good screen resolution
    • The screen is very bright and clear.
    • Has a bright screen, vibrant colors, and the sharpness is great too
    • This screen is beautiful and is as fully adjustable with position as I was hoping it would be
    • The up-down screen tilt is very good, with a powerful spring to keep it from drooping
    • Beautiful screen, 1920x1200 resolution, built-in USB hub.
    • I love the thin matt (non-shiny) edge boarder and the non-glare screen.
    • Love the extra wide screen.
    • Good color, good screen size and affordable.
    • The colors are vivid and the screen is naturally very bright.
    • I want a good stand, 24"-27" screen, higher than 1080p resolution, 72% color gamut or higher, low response time, and good contrast, and this monitor fit the bill on all of that
    • Amazing color and higher resolution than most at this size so you can get more usable screen space rather than just blowing up a smaller image onto a bigger screen.
    • Great big screen Monitor.
    • Even though I will miss dual screens the size of it justifies.
    • I got the A00 rev, but the screen is sharp and bright (no yellow tinting).
    • Just a beautiful screen, matches the output of my macbook laptop well, easy on the eyes and good sharp text.
    • When working on a Word document, the screen is large enough to show two sequential pages side by side, which is very helpful to me
    • The 1920x1200 native resolution adds just enough extra screen space in portrait mode to be useful
    • Love this monitor, bought it specifically for use with my Lightroom 5 software to give me better color and a larger screen.
    • Highly recommended in this 16:9 world, you get more vertical screen with this DVI monitor.
    • The screen was dirty with finger prints all over and the stand looked like it had a couple months of dust on it
    • The screen itself is good - not incredible, but very nice
    • Great screen size
    • Good screen quality/price/clarity.
    • Good screen quality/price/clarity.
    • I can finally match my prints to what my screen looks like.
    • I still would not purchase just any non-glare screened monitor but this one I can confidently recommend
    • I don't know how others feel, but I find 1:1.77 (1920 x 1080) is a dud -- not nearly enough screen space to work comfortably.
    • One of the few affordable true 1920x1200 resolution screens out there.
    • I don't know how others feel, but I find 1:1.77 (1920 x 1080) is a dud -- not nearly enough screen space to work comfortably.
    • When you rotate the screen, you're able to see the picture at its full size and you will be able to edit it much more carefully.===OtherThe screen is really super easy to calibrate following the instructions given by the Mac OS, so that's nice
    • If you don't plan on using HDMI - this is truly a beautiful image/screen.
    • This monitor has great viewing screen for my 2009 Mac book Pro.
    • This allows him to have the split screens and is easy to use.
    • The ability to rotate the screen and work in portrait may convince me to buy a second or third
    • M even after calibration the screen is difficult to read, it hearts my eyes
    • Those screens are big enough & sharp enough that I can have them placed at the end of my desk & use the desk for my papers etc.
    • This Dell U2412M seemed a reasonable compromise albeit smaller screen, but at much more reasonable price point
    • So like I said earlier, either Dell is trying to get rid of their old stock of REV A00 versions of this monitor, or they have completely changed the screen they are putting in these to a cheaper and very yellow screen
    • The screen still flutters when I start slide-show -- but everything else is working beautifully.
    • Sharp, clear screen.
    • It has something like a smart screen dimmer that is actually pretty smart
    • The corner of my laptop screen put a huge, UGLY scratch on it - a regular screen would have shrugged such a small insult off
    • It has good features, a large screen and looks great!I also recommend going to reviews.cnet.com and looking up the review for this specific monitor and maybe comparing it to others in its price range
    • I could recommend this screen to anyone of my friends without worrying.
    • The screen is great
    • Nice screen, also supports HDTV
    • The screen itself is good - not incredible, but very nice
    • The screen was a bit bright; I have turned it down to about 45%, which is about right for me
    • The Dell UltraSharp screen, while not 4K, makes it easy to read text off the display without easily detecting pixels
    • The screen is matte, but the colors are vibrant and life-like.
    • Wonderful screen but extremely overpriced
    • Nice computer screens
    • The 24"s bring so much to the table and I love 16:10
    • Will update with negative s only, but don't expect this to be necessary.
