The display and stand are very nicely protected for shipping, but all of the interior material is cardboard (except the protective wraps around the display and stand, and plastic bags for the accessories), and it's kind of assembled like a jigsaw puzzle.

I hate glossy displays

One thing I noticed right off the bat was that I wasn't able to calibrate it though the display preferences in Expert Mode - I may be missing something and will research now that I just remembered this again

I can see that if I connect three of these monitors together in a multi-monitor setup, the thin bezel will allow for a seamless display that transitions from one screen to the next

I had been at 1080p with a lower priced monitor, but the higher resolution, and the much sharper display is amazing.

I don't recommend this display to anyone.

The brightness is excellent, and in comparison to my HP Pavilion 27xi 27-Inch Screen LED-lit Monitor (also on amazon for 240) this is so much easier on the eyes (only 1980x1080 and glossy display).

Very comfortable image settings right out of the box, and there are multiple options to change settings in the menus (as well as on your computer

I was not returning for back light bleed as that is just an inherent part of IPS monitors(see above), but I did receive one monitor DOA with a cracked screen(maybe not dells fault), one with a plastic back that was not seated properly(basically frame exposed a bit), and a couple with bright/dead pixels.

I was looking for a monitor large enough to display and edit two document pages at a readable size, as well as for general use (web browsing, photo review and editing, etc.)
