The size is perfect for most desk-range viewing, and although the text will be a bit smaller than on a standard 1028x monitor, the resolution is so flat and crisp, that icons are actually -easier- to read even though they're smaller.
I had a 28" monitor before this and I actually prefer the 25" size to it.
I was looking for a monitor large enough to display and edit two document pages at a readable size, as well as for general use (web browsing, photo review and editing, etc.)
To put it simply, this is an awesome coding/ general use monitor, and in my opinion is also an optimal size for these tasks (preferable to a curved 29-34 inch display that can make side by side docs look a bit strange). Now for the cons of this monitor, and to me there is one glaring one.
The size is also perfect for me - big enough to edit 30MP photos, but not so big you have to turn your head to see from side to side.
This works perfect as a second monitor to my late 2013 iMac (27").
This monitor is excellent for these tasks for many reasons, first among them that I find the resolution great for reading small text and the color reproduction excellent when working with images.
Have had it for a month now, and so far everything is working really well
So far, a few movies, web browsing, and code editing have worked looked great.
The monitor sits on an adjustable stand and is easy to adjust for perfect viewing.
There is only a bezel on the bottom face.- Good stand included
I was not returning for back light bleed as that is just an inherent part of IPS monitors(see above), but I did receive one monitor DOA with a cracked screen(maybe not dells fault), one with a plastic back that was not seated properly(basically frame exposed a bit), and a couple with bright/dead pixels.
The same great stand that has been on every Dell monitor I've purchased is also on this one.
The esthetic is great from the thin bezel to the very adjustable stand
This is by far, and i mean by far the best display you can get in this price range
Its not a perfect monitor, but in terms of an all around great 2k display this one wins.

Got this monitor after returning a (only slightly cheaper) display
The display is crisp and clean, shows text well and looks great for gaming.
From doing an internet search, this Black Screen is apparently a VERY COMMON ISSUE for these DELL monitors
These m@&(€ from dell really sent me a defective screen >
The monitor Quality was very good, the screen was very sharp, a bit bright with the stock settings
One of them works fine, the other one has always had trouble - it would work for a while, but within an hour or less, the screen would go dark, or cycle through colors, it seemed to lose the link to the computer
For single monitor users I still do highly recommend this monitor, but beware of the possibility of this annoying screen flicker bug.
After getting 2 monitors with dead pixels in a row, I'm glad I spent the extra money for this beautiful monitor.
I'm not going to get all technical with this review, but I well say that I LOVE this monitor!

came with a few dead pixels >.< but the pic quality is AMAZING
My Dell 27" LED purchase has been a great experience, no dead pixels, no issues, just a giant, bright slab of reality sitting on my desktop
The unit is worth every penny.- I can easily read double pages in MSWord, can display and work in multiple windows on my screen, and it responds very quickly in dual-screen mode when connected to my late 2013 MacBook Pro retinal display laptop.- Background glare in my office no longer strains my eyes - the screen has a nice matte
