I play Zombie Army trilogy on this with a GTX980ti, on max settings its amazing, Also this screen is veery sharp and clear when you do homework, reading texts is very clear and comfortable

Text, colors, video are all great to my eyes

Text is crystal clear and easily read without my glasses, though I routinely kick Word up to 150% when writing for prolonged periods, mostly out of habit; even when I don't text is very clear

Adobe apps are quite nice as the lack of decent 4K text scaling is not an issue here

Though my monitors have mainly been Samsung in the past, I have to admit they have had grainier text than this Dell or my Apple displays.

Dell has much better text quality, color are right out of the box, it is much better in terms of light reflection (there is a window behind my desk).Very happy with this model, only wish I had considered Dell 38 inch wide as well.

Very easy transition and both text and graphics display are excellent (HDMI)

It makes work so much easier having documents side by side, and the text is super sharp

It’s actually true that Dell’s text is indeed very crisp and sharp – although you may need a magnifying glass to prove it compared to another expensive monitor of equal resolution

Did not have to adjust scaling in either OS - works fine and fonts/text are crystal clear

I will say that text looks glorious at any size

For some reason (another viewer with the same observations thinks it's due to pixel shape) fine text on the Samsung just remained blurred no matter how much I fiddled with ClearType

, I opened up my code editor Sublime Text 3 and though text was very clear, the screen is so big and the curvature made it very difficult to focus on characters, words, code.

I've heard some people say that the reason for the poorer text performance on the Samsung is because it's VA panel, while the Dell is an IPS one

But as others have mentioned, once the LED's are lit up, the text is crisp, and the monitor is a great productivity booster

The 4k resolution, although with clearer text, would have punished frame rates and lacks the "wrap around" immersion the Dell gives you

Have been completely impressed - build quality up to dell spec; text sharp, quite the immersive experience.

The text is darn crisp, the color is excellent, the menu options is easy to navigate, more than enough connections for my use (DP, mDP, HDMI, and whatever else is back there)

DellThough I really liked the functionality, port arrangement, and black level of the Samsung, ultimately the text clarity

The monitor is now very usable and text is sharp

It was either not sharp enough, such that the text appeared fuzzy on the edges, or it was too sharp and looked to have the artificial white halo--particularly on smaller text

Crisp text, great for movies, and three pages in Word side by side makes this an awesome writing tool.

I am giving this five star because the text sharp and crisp.
