I bought these espresso cups for a pretty good price at world market and you honestly will have no problem finding the right cups

Yo do need to dis-assemble the cup portion to clear out the coffee oils that can clog the cup

They have altered the espresso filtration cups so its more like brewing a small cup of coffee through several holes instead of pressurizing the espresso through one hole

For a budget friendly machine this is perfect, it makes a great cup of espresso, it's as easy as possible to use, and it fits just about anywhere

like others have said a great starter machine but not 1 to keep for life the space is so short you cant put anything underneath except shot glasses for the espresso... honestly the steamer is short too so you have to prop it up and have a shallower milk frothing cup to use properly

It took about 3 tries for me to fine tune this machine for my "perfect cup" of cappuccino

I cleaned this thing regularly, And it made a good cup of espresso for about 6 months

I don’t have small enough coffee cups to use this machine

Every time the operation will be slightly different, but eventually you arrive at the same perfect cup

But I bought some 5oz stainless cups (like ones seen at coffee shops) and it works just fine.

The cup warmer is passive and due to the vibration and the steam knob on top storing cups on top is tedious.

This thing takes forever to heat, doesn't have enough pressure and was never able to use a proper espresso grind- had to use drip grind- constantly needed part replacement, dripped like crazy and vibrates your cup right off the platform

Maybe they have higher ratings because the type of people who buy those things are also the type of people who are willing to invest the time, attention, and effort in producing a decent cup of expresso

I still haven't found a short enough coffee cup to fit under the espresso

The froth takes some practice, use a stainless still cup designed for the purpose (assortment of brands sold on amazon), fill to the 4 ounce line, you will also need a thermometer designed for expresso(many sold on amazon).

This machine shakes my cups right out of line from the portafilter, you literally have to hold them the whole time to catch the espresso

I've gotten good cups using the plastic built-in tamper, but much easier to get the right amount of pressure using the metal tamper

You have to hold the cups steady under the spout or the rattling of the water pump will shake them off the device and your espresso will be wasted

The user will learn the art of the barista, and that a perfect "puck" will make the perfect cup

The espresso tastes very good, but the problem is that it vibrates too much when it is turned on and that causes the cup to slide away which means the espresso misses the cup.
