The heating spot on top is little more than enough to check the box, it doesn't get very hot and definitely doesn't heat a nice cappuccino cup

I have some stainless steel cappuccino cups that are not very large, and they don't fit in this machine (see attached image)

Overall, I'd buy this again, it makes a good cappuccino, and gets my day going strong.

After about a week of practice, watching videos, and reading, I can finally say that this morning I enjoyed two wonderful espresso drinks from my new Delonghi EC680M DEDICA: a latte and a cappuccino

Using a non-pressurized filter (see below) it makes an excellent cappuccino.
