Worked with DeLonghi customer support, who tried to be helpful, but the product is simply too badly designed/executed to be saved

A well made small compact design that takes up very little counter space

We have very minimal counter space as we live in a smaller condo, so this compacted design is perfect for us

I also like the slim design.

However, the plastic scoop if oval shaped (like an overgrown gel capsule), and the design makes it impossible to scoop the ground beans into the filter cup without spilling many of them all over the counter.

First of all, the design and color are very sylish which fits my modern design kitchen

The narrow design was great and it brewed well, but two years?!

The coffee inserts are kind of funny design, the metal screen is permanently inside the outside shell, and I don't know if they can be modified for non-pressurized espresso like the EC155 could, so I'll be looking for that next.

for something that costed me $180 used, and supposed to be $230 or so new, it's really a terribly sad design flaw

It seems like they learned from their horrible design flaws and have improved the portafilter in the newer models

There are many videos on YouTube showing how creative people have spent hours in their shops modifying these pieces of the machine and have improved the design and performance

The design is certainly superior to many brands on the market but the functionality isn't quite worthy of the heightened price

Very poor design that I see many others have same problem with

not sure if it is bad design or bad build quality, power button stuck within a month of use, (a lots of) water leaks from the bottom year and a half in.
