    • The adjustment is not good thats why i could only give it a three star cause it grinds either flour or med grind that will run a bunn coffee maker over and make a mess if you have a slow drip coffee maker or coffee press this would be a good purchase for that and speed it'll grind the beans in a flash and bunn maker does a pot in 3 min
    • DeLonghi has made a few improvements but I can tell that it will be a reliable coffee bean grinder that we can depended on for years
    • If you are grinding a drier bean or if the grind is very fine you will find that the plastic hopper will build up a static charge that will draw the grinds to the wall of the hopper.
    • We use it to grind beans for our espresso machine
    • If you are grinding an oiler bean or are grinding with a larger particulate size, you'll find that the opening to the grinder itself is easy to block because of the way that the coffee is ground and falls into the hopper from the chute.
    • Also, we love the aroma and taste of fresh ground coffee beans

    • From day one it seemed like it was working really hard to actually grind the beans on fine grind.
    • The DeLonghi trumped the Cuisinart because of its quieter operation (still not quiet, though -- grinding hard beans is always noisy), its slightly better ability to grind from fine to coarse, and its styling
    • Then one day we went to add fresh beans and grind - to our surprise it had stopped working

    • It doesn’t make any mess while grinding the beans
    • I can then either dump the beans back into the bag or just leave them in there for later.
    • But then I'm throwing away nearly a quarter of my expensive premium coffee beans.
    • Does not grind espresso beans to a fine powder, which is what you need to make cappuccino, espresso etc
    • Would not shut off creating a screeching sound; "plunger" or top burr would not sit correctly so beans would jam and not flow into grind area; and as others note even on moderate grind of coarse beans in bin have high static and creates quite a mess when removed
    • Now the blades get jammed by coffee beans and we have to continually empty the beans and clear it with a screwdriver
    • I'd recommend picking up a bag of cheap beans and playing with them to learn more about the machine.tl;dr if you're just getting into coffee and need a solid grinder, this is a great option
    • Only had one occasion where it stopped working, and when I pulled out the black thing in the middle of the place where the beans go and cleaned all of the coffee dust off of all of the parts, it worked again perfectly
    • The mechanism that crushes the beans still works but it no longer pulls the beans into the grinder
    • It ground the beans perfectly
    • I only use it to grind beans into espresso
    • I get up in the morning, go downstairs, push the button and the grinder apparently has decided I need twice the volume of ground coffee beans because it starts grinding and doesn't stop until the bean hopper is almost completely empty and I have 2-
    • I measure out the beans on the scale, dump them in the grinder, and take them out of the receptacle to be measured out into the portafilter
    • I like being able to dump the beans into the container, and have it grind only a certain number of cups which is adjustable.
    • Another deal breaker for this grinder is that if you measure out beans to grind before putting them into the hopper, the grinder is incapable of grinding down to the last bean
    • My two upgrade wishes would be a true anti-static plastic container (it makes a static-e mess at times) and being able to get a finer grind for espresso
