I tried them on my desk but am actually using them now on the shelf above my desk angled downwards, they work just as well for this as they do angled upwards.

For those that don't have experience with these, they are just small soft plastic-y rubbery stands designed to tilt the speakers towards you ears for better imaging and overall audio quality due to less reflected sounds off your desk surface.
