I tried them on my desk but am actually using them now on the shelf above my desk angled downwards, they work just as well for this as they do angled upwards.

Good stand for my AudioEngine (3s?) speakers

I have experience with the Audioengine A2+'s as well as the officially branded/marketed stands that I have in place at my office, these are the exact same stands as mine, branded and everything, for quite a bit less

For the intended purpose they work perfectly and are a perfect fit for the A2+'s.

These are the actual audioengine branded stands, don't waste your money paying full price!

For those that don't have experience with these, they are just small soft plastic-y rubbery stands designed to tilt the speakers towards you ears for better imaging and overall audio quality due to less reflected sounds off your desk surface.
