Bought this for a child and it is perfect because it was inexpensive enough so it won't be a disaster if he doesn't use it or trashes it but good enough quality to hold a tune and be playable.

This product is very cheap quality, the sounds is definitely different from others brand ukelele, it got what you paid for..and btw the shipment is sucks!

This uke is one of the better quality ones for the price, and I recommend avoiding those flashier ones with heavily lacquered bodies which stifle the wood vibration and interfere with the sound

A string upgrade to Aquila strings helped significantly, but even then, the Okina still had a far worse sound quality at this price level

The Okina had a poor sound quality even compared to my own 20- and 40-year-old ukuleles (which had the original strings).

so I don't worry to much about him breaking it, but it is high enough quality that I enjoy playing (probably more than he does)

so I did not have to lug guitar around, meh, not for me, sound quality not so good, playability, fretting, craftsmanship not up to my standard, however if you want a cheap sounding kiddie ukulele have at it.
