    DIRECTV RC73B Universal Backlit Remote

    • Works great, now I can see the buttons in the dark in the bedroom at night.
    • The light button on the side is a bit awkward to use.
    • Light button on side is much better than what we had with COX's (Previous Cable provider)
    • Unfortunate that DTV/ATT do not offer this as standard remote, but since I signed a 2 year agreement, it is well worth my money to see what buttons are available in the dark.
    • If this item had quiet buttons and a page/up down button, we'd give it a 5 star rating.
    • We like the backlit buttons, and they have more power and range than our last remote, however there is no page up/down function, and the buttons make an audible click when you press them...the result is alot of button pushing and subsequent clicking sounds when scanning through multiple channels
    • and it's perfect - the buttons all extend well above the faceplate and the 0 is easy to operate, and has as much spring tension as the upper buttons
    • This lighted remote is easier to use just wish all the buttons were illuminated and that they can standard
    • The channel and volume buttons make a loud clicking noise when using them
    • My only complaint is that you have to hit a small button on the side to illuminate the keys.
    • Light button broke after 1 week, not worth going through the hassle of sending it back, don't know if these are generics or not, went ahead and got one from direct tv and its still going strong.
    • Excellent worked perfectly right out of the package and I love the backlit buttons
    • The number buttons on my living room Genie unit stopped working so ordered 2 of these one for living room and one for my bedroom
    • Light comes on when you use any key on the remote or via a small isolated button on the left side which is very handy to use so you don't hit an errant key by accident.
    • Remote is easy to pair , great backlit , but the arrows and select button have a very loud click, for bed time is annoying, have no idea why they didn't do those buttons like the other ones in the remote, the ones that light up are made of rubber and doesn't click
    • The buttons at the top and middle of the unit work fine, but the very bottom buttons get less responsive the older / more use the unit sees
    • Outside of the fact that the "pause" and "fast forward" buttons require a lot of force to operating the remote is fine
    • I'm probably going to butcher one of my defective units to see if I can "jack up" the 0 button to the point where it works as well as the top buttons
    • The back light button is great!
    • Needed a lighted unit for the bedroom so we could find the right buttons.
    • Awesome...quick responsive illuminated buttons
    • Button work intermittently
    • Could have better button placement good thing it lights up so you can see the buttons
    • The 0 button still works, but it's almost to the point where I'm going to have to take an object in order to press it down far enough to get a response
    • The button on the upper left side to turn the light on and off is hard to depress, so I don't use it except to activate the light when batteries are first inserted
    • the buttons on the remote don’t work well
    • The number buttons on my living room Genie unit stopped working so ordered 2 of these one for living room and one for my bedroom
    • No more "down two, over three, CRAP, wrong button" mental processing while watching television
