If someone forces the door open (e.g. by kicking it) they will be greeted by sudden loud noise.

So at the expense of knowing 1-2 times per day a very loud noise will just randomly sound (with young children nap schedules to consider or the family sleeping), these are now all off.

if you're looking for an alarm to add additional noise to scare a burglar when breaking or prying glass to make think there's alarms or if you live in close proximity to your neighbors or just looking to get a warning when someone is trying to get in then this works perfect

Of course I have yet to find a situation where these proved me wrong, but I think you should only get these if you have something which is likely to make a loud noise as it is being opened, breached, or whatever the case.

We received these and immediately tested and installed them on two sliding doors that are already secured, but we like the loud noise factor of these small alarms

either I have really big bugs that hit windows or these things can detect earthquakes around the world; while I fully believe I may have had false alarms from maybe a bird hitting the window or maybe my family made a noticeable bang in the house that would trigger the vibration sensor in the alarm but there were several times when I would be in the same room, not moving, no loud noises on a T.V. or something, and did not hear any bang from a window to indicate something from the outside hit the window, but these would still just randomly start sounding.

The few that get in the alarms make enough noise, a resident tells her

I tested them and they go off very, very loudly when either there is a loud noise or they get hit (ie
