It's not as loud as other similar items, but loud enough for me.
These would be good to use to protect display items in a store -- paintings and such... anything in which movement is likely to cause vibration would set it off
unfortunately, these are not the great items a lot of the reviews have said

There nice alarms and half as much money as the ones sold at home depot.
I seen the complex I moved to uses them and money well spent
Needless to say I feel like I wasted money
I will say they are very loud, but unless you have a very clumsy burglar that is going to slam the door when they break in then don't waste your money, I returned mine!

It is just a little on the sensitive side but that's probably a good thing.
These things scream like a smoke alarm if the glass is banged or rattled.
The strangest thing was both times the alarm shut off by itself after about 20~30 seconds.
Very noticeable when you get close to window and that is a good thing.
The odd thing is that I decided to use one of them as a coaster for my black tea mug and when I picked up the mug, the alarm went off, crazy loud and nearly caused me to spill the liquid on my shirt.

It works pretty well and the sound is pretty loud which is good
Our apartment complex does not have any type of security system so we figured something was better than nothing, and the sound of these alone is definitely enough to scare off a criminal
They are very easy to turn off and on and have a loud piercing alarm sound which is what you want
We tested them and they all went off with the loud audible sound that they make
The sound they release is certainly enough to grab you're attention, even if you are asleep.
