DR Strings Electric Guitar Strings, Black Beauties - Black Coated, 10-46

    • Even fresh these strings sounded like they had been soaked in water for weeks
    • No matter what, your ear will hear the dull thump on the low E and you'll miss that metal sound.
    • Still a great sounding and looking set of strings.
    • The sound is great
    • They install easily, look great, and have a nice sound.
    • Never had any issues with DR strings great sound
    • Muddy sounding and the string packaging is DUMB.
    • So far these sound nice in that application, and I personally like the way they feel, but do not like the black color/coating.
    • I suppose the "extra-life" coating will allow for an extended consistency of sound, but, you're starting with a very dull sound similar to strings that have been used more than a cheap hooker
    • Because the bottom line is that when you're playing weekly if your comfort level is better with them and people don't notice the change then who cares if when not plugged in they sound a little like nylon strings and are dull sounding.
    • dull sound, and the shaved off coating ruins your finish
    • Ive even used 2 dollar musicians gear brand strings that sounded better and were brighter sounding than these dr strings
    • My opinion of these strings r they don't have that bright sound that non coated strings
    • I actually really like the sound of these strings, and I actually really like the feel of the coating
    • Very smooth action and nice fat sound.
    • Very smooth action and nice fat sound.
    • I played some old school rock for about an hour and I must say that they have a good sound to them
