So far these sound nice in that application, and I personally like the way they feel, but do not like the black color/coating.

I like the way they feel on the fingers.-good for bends and slides.cons:-scratch easily (the black coating scratches when putting on pegs and through body).-some very noticeable noise dampening on high E string towards middle of fretboard

I could take or leave the black color, really, but I love the way these strings feel and last.

I just love the way it makes any black guitar stand out, sadly the color wears out with the pick after a while

For mean fast blues, I love the way these sound.
