    Dragon NaturallySpeaking Premium 13

    • As a disabled individual, Dragon is a lifesaver
    • I've been using Dragon for about a year now, and I absolutely love it
    • When first installed, Dragon can be a little sloppy at its job but it learns as it goes, developing a personal profile that increases the accuracy the more that you use it
    • Will restarting Dragon be snappier the second time around
    • But if you're using Dragon 12 on Windows 8 fine then you probably aren't using the features that you'd notice
    • Initially, Dragon had trouble telling while from well
    • I used Dragon 7 for years but my old computer died and my new one used Windows 8
    • I have the sense that this issue will catch up with and haunt Microsoft and/or Nuance (Dragon), but a lot of money will have changed hands by then and a lot of users will feel frustrated at best, and duped at worst
    • Dragon is very impressive to me in the amount of voice control it readily provides.12
    • I have 8.1 professional OS on my laptop, and Dragon worked very well.
    • I recommend Dragon to anyone wanting to improve their efficiency - especially the disabled individual.
    • Dragon NaturallySpeaking 13 Premium is a major downgrade and works in some applications fine and others not
    • Dragon works, but its really slow
    • Dragon fails to live up to its advertising in every way
    • Since I have had Dragon NS problems in the past, I uninstalled V12 using Revo Uninstall, which mostly does the program's own uninstall but then adds a hunt for leftover registry keys etc
    • To me, it shows that Dragon is working to have a quality program that will understand all kinds of speech regardless of your accent
    • Dragon isn't perfect - sometimes it can seem to get confused when I stumble over some words, and this can result in dictated text that is hilarious
    • So enter my savior Dragon
    • Dragon is amazing!!
    • Dragon NaturallySpeaking 13 has significant improvement in accuracy, and in functionality
    • Since I have had Dragon NS problems in the past, I uninstalled V12 using Revo Uninstall, which mostly does the program's own uninstall but then adds a hunt for leftover registry keys etc.
    • I've used Dragon for over 10 years and love it
    • Dragon won't offer refund
    • I imagine the next Ted Kazinsky is already in the making, just one little innocent dragon bar away...just an itty bitty, clinging, pulsating, pop-up vomiting dragon bar away from a complete break with reality and full embrace of homicidal technology rage
    • Nuance's tech support told me Dragon 12 is not compatible with Windows 10 and that I would have to either revert to a previous version of Windows or spend another $80 upgrading
    • (I was a little aggravated with Dragon beginning with version (4 ?), however I did "love" Dragon until I had a problem with hooker, and now with 13 not installing)
    • Anyway the long and the short is that the new Dragon 13 is excellent
    • I don't understand how Dragon, an expensive software, can't get its core functionality to work better than Google, who offers a free, simple, web-based solution.
    • Dragon should give all users of Dragon 13 a free upgrade to Dragon 15 and hopefully that works better
    • The Dragon Naturally Speaking Premium 13.0 is AWESOME!!!
    • Dragon should give all users of Dragon 13 a free upgrade to Dragon 15 and hopefully that works better
    • So , if Dragon can not make the thing work on Windows 8 for which it is specifically designed, then I am none too impressed
    • I have been using Dragon NaturallySpeaking for about 25 years and love it.
    • Experimenting with the Dragon commands available for each application will seems to be a fine way to learn your way around Dragon
    • Dragon 13 has increased its support of web based applications:
    • Dragon 13 is so much better than Dragon 12...it is like a brand new experience
    • Dragon isn't perfect - sometimes it can seem to get confused when I stumble over some words, and this can result in dictated text that is hilarious
    • No bad Dragon
    • Read the advertisement:"The fastest and most accurate way to interact with your computer; Dragon dramatically boosts your personal productivity and helps you realize your full potential"So carefully worded
    • Another thing I didn't face yet, it will also prompt you to "register" the software, i.e. give Dragon online your name and address and email rather than just the installation software key
    • However Dragon's diet also included a variety of Bluetooth mics, including a CS 50, as well as computer upgrades($300 and $400 microphones do not make sense).Unless convinced that 12.5 is better, I'm going back to 11; then using the Dragon money to buy a good replacement microphone (Quality is important; however, costs will be less than $175
    • If you have a repetitive strain injury or just don't type that fast then Dragon might still be worth a look, otherwise keep in mind that any productivity gains you get are frontloaded, and you're going to lose those gains on the back end as you go through and correct all the mistakes that Dragon inserted into your document because the software seems to translate every pause and puff of air as an article or conjunction to be inserted haphazardly in your text.
    • I had the Dragon Speaking 12 and liked it, but sometimes I found that I had to correct so much, or that it didn't keep up with my dictating speed, that it was easier to type.
    • Dragon completely ignores it.
    • It is known; Dragon works better on faster machines, and the microphone is extremely important, so I own several computers purchased, because I imagine Dragon would work better
    • Dragon 13 premium works great with windows 10 it is compatible with word 2016
    • but that's not the Dragon's fault, since I'm working it hard on a 4GIG computer.
    • However, after a few complaints, Dragon is working with Firefox using a dictation box
    • Dragon will also hang whatever application I'm attempting to use a few times a day (whether that be Firefox, command line, or
    • Dragon is not as bad as some have said in performance, the reason that word shuts down on some computers with Dragon is that the PC has not been defragged and optimized ( by optimized I meand chkdsk with an F switch and other things; in most cases just run the app and click "opimize" from portable apps, it does work)
    • Many of those reviewers appear to be experienced and until now, happy Dragon users
    • Dragon Naturally Speaking was easy enough to set up and get going, but it does take a while to get used to
    • Within 11 days of heavy use, Dragon was corrupted and I had to upgrade to Version 15.
    • Dragon Naturally Speaking Premium 13.0 is pretty good
    • I have a strong non-US accent and Dragon has had no difficulty with it.
    • Dragon is very impressive to me in the amount of voice control it readily provides.12
    • It's the best Dragon has ever made
    • They emasculated Dragon, they clipped its wings.
    • If you call Microsoft they tell you to disable Dragon
    • Dragon 7 was not compatible
    • When we were done Dragon did very well with his distinct "Down East" Maine accent
    • Even after training it for several hours and allowing it to analyze my documents and emails, Dragon often fails to understand simple words such as "thus
    • I'm a longtime user of Dragon NaturallySpeaking, but very frustrated and disappointed by the upgrade to 13 that now requires using the DragonPad for dictation into most applications
    • To keep it short and simple, even after i spent all kinds of time going through the process of teaching the software how I speak and even after opening the vocabulary editor countless times and training it on certain words, Dragon 13 is horrible
    • Dragon 13 is a huge improvement over Dragon 12
    • Dragon 13 has increased its support of web based applications:
    • When we were done Dragon did very well with his distinct "Down East" Maine accent
    • Nuance would rather sell you there more expensive Dragon Professional
    • I spend a lot of time correcting Dragon
    • This dragon is worth the time and effort if you must write a lot
    • Like so many others, I am writing this using Dragon
    • Dragon has greatly improved my efficiency and I would definitely recommend it to others!
    • If you would like to continue using Dragon software with no interruption in support or functionality, we are making our flagship speech solution, Dragon Professional Individual 15, available to you at the exclusive Dragon Premium user upgrade price of $99.99 (a $200 savings)
    • NOT a classy move, Dragon
    • The recording transcription places the text in one large block, and does not separate or create space between speakers - so right off the bat, you will have to go in and edit the transcription to be in a readable format.- Dragon seriously struggles to accurately transcribe any non-native, English speakers on recordings.
    • Correction: Just as important as
    • I am very pleased to report that it did work as
    • I began to try to train the program to my voice but have been confused as to how this works, since I did not have the program before this.
    • didnt work as we expected
    • It just might be, many 4 stars and the 5 stars people are new users:Not many satisfied users said they upgraded from D S 11 or 12, so of primary importance is whether or not Dragon 13 is faster and more accurate than Dragon 11 and 12.Now my question is, if I pay the aggravation-price required for Dragon 13 to work, is 13 much faster and more accurate than D S 12.5, as well as, faster and more accurate than my 11.5
    • I also created several profiles it for outside (winds, aircraft passing) use, as well as for indoors, and this seemed to work well.
