The comparisons to Golden Axe are very apt, but thankfully there are lots of upgrades for each character to add variety to the gameplay.

Control is a bit stiff, you can't walk diagonally,which is a pain ughhhh, you won't feel your character move heavily in older game (similar game like old era bareknuckle, golden axe, turtle) each dungeon feels like a chore and claustrophobic

I gave it 2 stars because of some of the art, honestly, much, much of it and the animation aren't actually that great, some nice Japanese/American fantasy hybrid characters but not enough to impress.

I like that it introduces the other characters slowly, instead of throwing everyone at you at once

Combat can be fun, but extremely frustrating/frenetic (too much happening on-screen at one time) so characters often get 'lost in the fray' so you don't know where you are or what you're swinging at
