Even though those classics didn't have particularly deep stories, they did to me as they inspired my imagination to come up with back-stories, personalities for the characters, possible banter, etc

Anyway this game is an awesome side scroller with a decent story and pretty intriguing commentary.

It's no stretch to say he elevates the story from decent to great, at least for me anyway

Being reminded of my table top RPG days was powerfully nostalgic for me, and it really made me love the story in this game

Ok so the game is quite simple, just hack and slash with a decent story

but it's noticeable.- Very little story -- Barebones plot

I'll admit that the story's a bit weak, it's not a bad story, but it's obvious that this game was not meant to be very focused on story and instead had much attention placed on gameplay

The graphics are really nice, sharp and unique style of art, the voice and soundtrack fit the background of the game, good story

Story wise, you won't be getting much

It captures the nostalgia of the classic side-scrolling beat-em-ups while adding enough complexity and story to make it a full-fledged RPG dungeon crawler, not just an arcade experience

The story is great and paced well throughout the game

But the super short length makes it impossible for a better story

There is a story behind the game and it isn't an amazing story but the fighting and action easily make up for it
