It protects the New Nintendo 3DS similarly to the way the old dreamGEAR Comfort GRIP Protection worked for the old Nintendo 3DS, however unfortunately based on the design of the New Nintendo 3DS and the new Comfort GRIP Protection, sometimes it pulls on the right and left trigger buttons of the top of the device and that can effect some games, depending on your grip, hand size, or positioning when playing

The dreamGEAR comfort grip also has cutouts for the charger slot, stylus, headphone jack, volume and 3D adjusters and even the speaker holes

DreamGear makes probably the best after market protection cases for the 3DS

I bought the dreamGEAR comfort grip because my hands tend to cramp up when playing the 3DS for extended periods

I have had the dreamGEAR comfort GRIP for quite a while now and feel confident to write a review on it

I purchased the dreamGEAR Comfort Grip for the original 3DS XL and loved it

I used the original dreamGEAR comfort grip for the 3DS XL for the longest time

I LOVED my dreamGear comfort grip for my old 3DS XL and even emailed them several months before this was released to see when this one would be available

In my search for some way to remedy this situation, I found the dreamGEAR Comfort Grip, and it makes things a lot better, though not perfect

If your like me and holding a D's hurts your hands after so long, this is a great help.

My son is very clumsy and his ds is 100% protected with this on

My ds feels like a controller

it does really protect the ds

Comfortable and soft with good protection (L and R buttons would be most vulnerable but are fully covered.)Provides a decent palm offset for a more ergonomic use

And the R and L buttons are really hard to push

In addition, I didn't like the silicone R and L button

The ports are all in the right places and the rear R and L buttons are still sensitive and it gives those buttons a nice trigger effect

Very comfortable, but I'm confused as to why it doesn't have a cut out for the game card slot.

On a personal note, my hands are prone to cramping after just a few minutes of gameplay on my DS XL, now I can comfortably enjoy gaming for as long as I want!
