Dunlop 471R3C Max-Grip Nylon Jazz III, Carbon Fiber, 24/Bag

    • Easy to play + nice fat tone
    • They have a very nice feel to them and a nice tone
    • I would say the Davas are slightly more flexible (literally, not figuratively). Also a fan of the regular Jazz IIIs, and prefer their tone to the Max-Grips.
    • nice grip, fast pick, good tone
    • Love the tone on everything I've tried them on from acoustics to electrics, to 12 strings.
    • I will file the edge with fine sandpaper just to get rid of the small ridge around the edge, which improves the tone greatly
    • The nylon jazz iii has a darker, grudging tone
    • Easy to play + nice fat tone
    • As someone else points out, you'd imagine that they would just wreck your tone when it comes to playing clean chords, but a slight adjustment of your technique can fix this
    • I highly recommend these picks to people who have slipping problems like I had with other picks and the tone is great.
    • I find the Dava master control more to my liking for most things, but I still use the jazz III's from time to time when I just want a simple clean pick tone.
    • You have a bit of a heavy pick hand at times, and while you like the tone and feel you get from that, you still want note definition and clarity
    • Not all bass players want a Flea and the slap-happy tone
    • Produce a great tone
    • The material the pick is made of causes a warm darker tone when playing.
    • Amazing tone!
    • These picks do have what seems to be a brighter tone compared to the original Jazz lll
    • The material the pick is made of causes a warm darker tone when playing.
    • Not all bass players want a Flea and the slap-happy tone
    • I gave these 5 stars because I think they produce a sharp clear picking tone.
