The unit seems to be faster than the cheaper units I have owed and holds the temperature quite well which the others did not

This unit has excellent temperature control and enough temp and power settings to be really useful.

Bumping the temperature setting up to 160 degrees raised it to about 158 degrees.

On the whole, I’m undecided whether I would make a complete change to induction but having this one induction burner not only adds another burner when cooking big meals but allows for more cooking options (like fast boil, temperature vs percentage-based settings) as well as portability

The more even temperature of the induction is gentler on the Le Cruset (which is not supposed to be overheated).
