DxO ONE 20.2MP Digital Connected Camera for iPhone and iPad with Wi-Fi (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

    • I just want to point out that DXO is supposed to be an objective evaluator of camera performance however, they too lay down the outright lie that all CAMERA manufactures do: they call this a 1.8 lens
    • We don’t care whose brand name is on the front or whether it has WiFi or all kinds of gimmicks, without a good lens all else is a waste of money
    • The DxO ONE's larger sensor and brighter lens mean it can capture 11x as much light as the iPhone camera, resulting in lower noise and less smeared images in low light
    • It feels very well-made, fits nicely in the hand, and features an outstanding lens cover that, when slid down, automatically turns the camera on
    • The secret: It’s a pro-level image sensor and bright lens that plugs onto the base of an iPhone, which serves as the viewfinder and central command.”
    • It's like carrying around a prime lens in your pocket for crying out loud
    • This is neither as good as a high end lens for a dslr, or a dslr with a medium grade lens
    • The iPhone was no match for the brighter lens and bigger sensor in the ONE
    • A good camera combines good hardware (lens and sensor) with a solid user interface.
    • The lens is VERY nice and there is a lot of potential
    • After several emails with the company and a review of the camera's image quality, they admitted the camera had a bad lens
    • Tiny form factor coupled with excellent lens and superb, large sensor capable of producing exceptional imagesExcellent post-processing afforded by the included DxO OpticsPro softwareCamera provides GPS information independent of the iPhone (but greater accuracy is obtained when camera is attached to iPhone)The BAD:Camera/iPhone combination is somewhat awkward and cumbersome in useNo
    • It would be awesome to have this tiny form factor, coupled with the DxO One’s superb lens and sensor, usable in a meaningful way without the iPhone interface.
