Other reviewers have covered the issues surrounding the Kinect's ability to track certain types of motion for certain exercises--floor exercises for instance (it would be nice to have an *easy* way to blacklist certain exercises so they never show up)

Your heart rate is an extremely useful tool for getting the most out of your workouts, working out safely, working out effectively, and a very good way of gauging your intensity.

I'm usually pretty even tempered, but when your heart rate is at 150bpm (heart rate monitor is VERY cool and accurate) and you're trying to bust your way through a sprint, I admit to considering throwing my TV through the window when this happens.

If you are a beginner that is looking for a fun and easy way to get moving, I think regular dvds or the dancing games like Dance Central 1 and 2 are easier to navigate, much more fun and much more interactive.

The game did not recognize moves, and many times I found myself doing it the wrong way just to get the amount of reps needed to continue to the next exercise.

Active 2 will work the way it was intended to about 95% of the time and it will kick your butt, make you sweat, and generally give you a solid workout
