Love the LED charge indicator and the trickle charge the unit has
Indicator for charging of 9V is a problem.
LED indicators show the charge level of the individual AA and AAA batteries
in the Amazon listing it says "Never mix charge different type and different capacity of batteries under the same LED indicator" so you should not use the 9v bays while using the AA/AAA battery bays at the same time
The LED indicators show the level of charge the battery has remaining
The only thing I really don’t understand, the display is illuminated so reading is really easy, that light is only on for a few seconds after you plug the charger in
It's not a fast-charger, which is a good thing, as I've heard that fast-charging batteries can reduce their lifespan
It has a really neat LED Charging Status/Progress for each battery, and this thing is fast!
The only things I'd like to change about it is a slightly longer power cord (very minor issue) and the display.
I like the digital display, and the best thing is you can charge any number of batteries in any sequence in any inserts.
The charge status readout for each battery works well to prioritize batteries ready for use at a glance.
The future, hopefully, will bring upon wireless charging batteries, like that company Ossia is working on.
This charger works great with a variety of rechargable batteries (AA, AAA and 9 volt)
Works pretty good, seems like I have to move the contact plates after it registers charged to get it to do another and final charge cycle.probably wouldn't buy again, but maybe I have a lemon everything else works but the main thing is it doesn't fully charge going by its own gauge you have to run a second and even a third cycle to get a full charge indication on all batteries,I'm charging sun lab 1000 mah AAA rechargeables
He installed it cleverly on his tool box and it seems to be working great for him
: EBL contacted me and offered a new charging unit free of charge; I am very happy with their customer service.
This is the second unit that was shipped because the first one was broken (amazon rejected my review) so now here is my review on this charger since i could test it
The seller asked to replace the unit free of charge although it was out of warranty.
: EBL promptly contacted me after I posted this review and indicated I may have received a faulty unit
ELB Great Customer Service, had a defected unit and they replaced with a New updated version
16-bay one, and the battery would keep losing contact, and not charge the batteries, so I returned it.
The large capacity of this one, its ability to charge a single battery (don't need pairs) and its ability to diagnose and refresh dead batteries has quickly made this our favorite charger.
The dead batteries would not charge because they are too dead.
In my other charger the batteries would get hot over time
I also love that each battery charges separately; the last charger I used needed batteries to be paired.
So although this charger is ok and the convenience of charging batteries in bulk and ease(for the wife) I would recommend still using a smarter charger to condition your batteries as this charger does have its flaws
Sometimes I'll have an odd number of batteries to recharge, and this charger does that job.
Works as it said it would.
This charger does not work consistently at all

I still consider it a significant design flaw that the EBL charger will not charge a fully discharged EBL battery.
Seems like a pretty serious design flaw to me, but I may have to keep it anyway because I can't find another charger that has the capacity I need.
EBL customer service has been in touch with me about the "newer" charger having a design flaw and the reason for the poor LCD screen
The workaround is to get copper wire and "jumpstart" each battery that is not detected (jumpstart by holding - to - and + to + using a copper wire with a known good battery for about 30 seconds...this sometimes takes multiple attempts...a terrible design flaw
