Received a defective item I hope

I would highly recommend this item to anybody looking to purchase an inexpensive yet versatile battery charger and rechargeable batteries as this is the simplest machine that I have seen out there.

It came fast, but when I try the item at home and it did not work.

I really wanted to like this item.

The item doesn't seem too bulky (considering you can recharge four D batteries in it) and when you aren't using it the cord easily folds up and sits inside the bay

Judging from other reviews, this would appear to be a design flaw, not just a defective unit, and I suspect that this item could be potentially dangerous.

n’t know if any rechargeable batteries will work for my can and I’m stuck with the charger.
