    ecobee4 Smart Thermostat with Built-In Alexa, Room Sensor Included

    • Then 45 minutes on line with tech support it still didn't work
    • This is a crappy product, service is terrible spending hours on hold waiting for tech support, you bait and switch by telling me I could get a large rebate only to tell me that I can't, and I have to stand in front of it and yell at it to get Alexa to work!TERRIBLE in ALL respects!
    • Tech support offered by email when I was away
    • Tech support said it would, but when I asked specific questions, or questioned an answer they provided, the next person to respond would ignore it, or blow it off, or otherwise leave it unsolved
    • I spent a total of 4 hours on the phone with tech support, the first 2 hours were painful and unproductive, until I called back in to get a different support rep
    • Very happy with the thermostat and the tech support in setting it up
    • The idea having alexa built into the device is awesome; however their tech support sucks

    • Before you buy try calling Tech Support, If your on hold less than 2 hours I say go ahead and risk buying it....... if you like to gamble.

    • I found this out after contacting ecobee tech support through the chat feature.

    • For the latter, ecobee regular tech support will laugh at you and will not know what you are talking about--to do it, your need to escalate up the technical support chain
    • I found this idiotic, and the tech support guy did not seem at all sympathetic (which only infuriated me more).Since it usually uses all 6 wires just for the basic components, my HVAC guy and I managed to use the Power Extender Kit to free up two wires for the ventilator.
    • I called ecobee tech support and got a very knowledgeable man on the other end that seem to know exactly what was going on

    • The manufacturer doesn’t mention in the manual about dual zone houses and we finally set up the unit with their tech support to get it to work (8 hours later)

    • Buyer beware, I was not able to get this to work with my furnace and even getting several emails from their tech support that someone would call me which no one has.
    • If something didn't make sense I called tech support and they clarified the information

    • but it works 100% of the time for me with Siri, but most of the time Alexa won’t/can’t acknowledge that I even have an ecobee device connected let alone control it

    • Please keep in mind that the product is great out of the package, and I actually like the features better than other smart t-stats I’ve seen
    • it is not compatible to any already smart a/c handlers.
    • The install was incredibly easy, and my home was not equipped with the infamous “C” wire
    • If the house is a little stale at 72 and I want to bump the a/c down to 71, I shouldn't realize a few minutes later that the house is at 68 and I have been running the a/c the entire time
    • The ecobee 4’s Alexa only supports a limited list of Alexa commands
    • Have not decided to connect and lose function(s) or sell.
