Many cheap earbuds fail because gravity pulls the wire into an upside-down "J" shape when plugged into the top of phones or MP3 players, thus crimping the wire until it frays, snaps, or pulls apart from the jack

If the classic design and more natural sound is too dull for you, Edifier makes stylish earbuds as well, but these H180's are the ones for the more practical user, who, for a variety of reasons, wants good performance but doesn't want to insert plugs up his or her ear canals.
