if you are buying this cutter with a 2 1/4 in Badge maker, it is the wrong size

Yes, it's listed as the right size, but Amazon did that, not EK Tools, so it's not fair to penalize EK Tools in reviews for that.

I am disappointed this was a recommended purchase to go with a button maker I purchased and it is the wrong size punch.

poor manufacturing makes for a cut that rarely goes all the way through (all the way around), and always leaves ragged edges; as others have noted, this will indeed cut your circle the wrong size for a 2.25-inch button maker.

As noted by others, the 2.25" punch isn't the one you want for a 2.25" button maker, but it IS the right size for a 2.5" button maker.

I use this size to punch out homemade canning labels that I print on full sheets of Avery labels (8165).

Jjust the right size for buttons.
