Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - PC

    • The best game I've played this year.
    • Yet we have gone back to what I feel is this strange old-new era, one in which I am playing games from the late 90's
    • If you like computerized, deep role-playing games driven heavily by plot and character, you'll love it!
    • This is the best computer roleplaying game I have played, and I cannot recommend it strongly enough.
    • But it's still well worth playing.
    • One of the Best games ive ever played
    • This very well may be my favorite game that I have ever played
    • I enjoy playing Skyrim, it is both easy to play, yet challenging and the gameplay concepts easily grasped
    • This game is amazing on 360, but the PC version with the modding community is what makes this one of the best games I've ever played
    • I only encountered glitches a couple times while playing on the PC, but I just reloaded my save and played on
    • Best PC RPG I have ever played.
    • I used to enjoy playing role-playing games from the Ultima series, until they destroyed it with Ultima 9
    • This game is the best game I have ever played
    • This sounds hyperbolic, but Skyrim is the best game I have ever played
    • its better than 5 stars, best game i have played in 10 yearsit will easily win game of the year and is already a classic
    • I and II modeled after the pen and paper game D&D, but this game takes the lead in eye-popping graphics, involving storyline and unique open-ended free-play reality that makes time stand still.
    • You made a terrible and huge mistake making SKYRIM a game that NEEDS STEAM.Im a huge fan of the TES Series, and I have always said that "Oblivion is the best solo RPG I have ever played", I have recomended you, for years, to a lot of my gaming friends, but we ended with Oblivion
    • At first it's well played out, but eventually some of the sounds get very annoying, especially monster sounds
    • But even after you get into playing, it's frustrating game play, because you go through the same routine, over and over, and there's no flow to the game.
    • The character is sooooo Over Powered it is not even worth playing, I would rather drown puppies in a bucket of water rather than see this game EVER again !!!
    • Sleep is lame- play all the time
    • The immersion is better than any game I've ever played.
    • I am playing on the PC and have not experienced any problems, but I do recommend that anyone out there with the PC version patch their game to 1.3 as it seems to have solved many of the problems that other PC gamers have been complaining about
    • Game play control itself is bulky and nearly unmanageable.
    • This is probably the best Bethesda game I've played.
    • Through all these minor flaws, I was kept entertained visiting all the numerous locations on the Skyrim map and the beautifully rendered in-game landscape, which came complete with rain, snow, storms, mist, fog and many more realistic features that make you want to stay on in Skyrim, and play the game forever and ever!Highly, highly recommended to all FPS/3rd person-role-playing gamers out there, who enjoy role-playing, magic, dragons and a good story!
    • I really enjoyed playing Skyrim.
    • this is easily the most awesome game i have ever played.
    • One of the best single-player RPGs I have ever played
    • I played the game on Expert(often one-shoted while playing on Master), but found this to be unbalanced, though this may be due more to the surroundings (or my crappy playing)
    • This by far is the most incredible one I have played to date.
    • It's one of the finest games I have ever played.
    • 11/29/11This is probably one of the best games I have ever played, but I can't be too
    • But Skyrim is simply boring - and I've played through the Dragonslayer storyline and put 66 hours into this game
    • Morrowind remains the best RPG I ever have played
    • This is the best game I've played in years and improves on Oblivion in every way
    • Also, I highly recommend playing this game with a mouse/keyboard
    • With or without mods it is a decent play.
    • Very well optimized, very smooth playing on PC
    • By far one of the best game I've ever played
    • Skyrim Delivers but nothing is perfect, especially on PC.Pros: Huge beautiful world, beautifully designed dungeons, openended play with a good underlying storyline, huge crafting options, all voice acted, sound tracks are greatNegatives: A bit glitchy (freezes very occasionally, dont alt-tab on pc), Poor menues on PC, dated texturesIt is just staggering the amount of hours that must have gone into designing this
    • Bought it, played it - and am still thoroughly enjoying the game play, the 'gravity' found in Oblivion (where the chains in the cell rattle around and arrows drop according to how hard you pull is still there, but somewhat reduced
    • Skyrim Delivers but nothing is perfect, especially on PC.Pros: Huge beautiful world, beautifully designed dungeons, openended play with a good underlying storyline, huge crafting options, all voice acted, sound tracks are greatNegatives: A bit glitchy (freezes very occasionally, dont alt-tab on pc), Poor menues on PC, dated texturesIt is just staggering the amount of hours that must have gone into designing this
    • This is the best RPG I've played in quite a few years
    • The graphics are a huge improvement (as you would expect) over Oblivion, and I find myself guilty of being a tourist sometimes, visiting waterfalls, hiking mountains, etcFighting seemed a little awkward at first but that's just because I've been playing Oblivion for the past week straight just to get me hyped up and assumed the fighting would be the same, now that I'm 6hrs in I am mostly used to
    • Like Oblivion, Skyrim requires you to run a bunch of scripted quests before you can unlock fences who will buy your stolen goods, greatly damaging the sandbox play of a thief
    • Skyrim is one of the best rpgs I've ever played
    • For this reason I highly recommend playing Skyrim for PC with an Xbox 360 controller
    • Heck, some lit major playing Witcher 3 next year might look at this review and laugh.
    • There are a few GUI quirks for the PC version (it was designed for easy console play, at the cost of PC users) that are easily resolved by mods
    • This is one of the best games I've ever played.
    • I've only been playing for an hour but am already blown away by the detail and beauty of Skyrim.
    • This game is literally like putting a tabletop role playing game into video game format perfectly
    • This is by far one of the best games I have played in a long time.
    • so it's hard to get lost in the game, but the open play of the world is also very well put together
    • Well worth a play.
    • Skyrim is the most glitch-free new release I've ever played on a PC
    • Skyrim is the most beautiful game I've ever played, but the graphics aren't the best though
    • This is probably the best rpg and maybe the best game I've ever played.
    • I am not a hardcore RPG fan who has played every RPG that's worth playing so take this as a casual fans review
    • This game has allot to offer as far as pure game play and plenty of content to explore
    • It's worth more than one play through to see other options played
    • The game isn't perfect but it's still the most immersive, most fun game I have ever played.
    • It does have some technical issues that are annoying to me, but overall it is still probably the best game I have played in my 20+ years of gaming.
    • great graphics and open ended game play, well worth the
    • Amazing next game in the series with amazing graphics and game play.
    • Superb graphics, game play, story lines, voice acting, effects, and more
    • You get the occasional quest, but once you hit level 50 you are done, I finished the game at level 38, there was a little more meaningful play after
    • Its a bit buggy though, so I suggest playing on the PC where console commands are handy as a last resort.- beautiful world and visuals, a genuine step up in graphics quality over Oblivion- huge world to explore- the creatures you encounter are challenging... lots of them will defeat you quickly when you are at lover skill
    • I know it's just a game, but the overall amazing RPG, fantasy, horror, creation, and adventure elements makes this the BEST game I have ever played without a doubt
    • Have been playing games for a long time, but this game exceeds what open world is mean to be
    • Skyrim is one of the best RPGs I've played in a while
    • I just don't like the game play, character movement, the fact you can not have a several weapons armed at once(IE a bow and arrows with a sword) etc
    • In summary, Skyrim is the best game I have ever played
    • The gameplay is outstanding and I have played hours upon hours of it and found no bugs
    • This is one of the best games I've played in a long time.
    • The graphics are amazing and are much better than most games I have played on my PC.
    • I started playing TES games with Morrowind, and have loved every one since then
    • This is easily one of the best RPG games I have ever played.
    • This is the best RPG I have ever played
    • Bathesda did a decent job of making this game as far as graphics and game play are concerned
    • Skyrim is the most incredible computer adventure game I have ever played
    • That being said, this is the best game I have ever played
    • This is the greatest game I've played in many years
    • In the top 5 games that I've ever played.
    • Excellent game play
    • I liked the open ended game play, it's a great progression and leveling system, perks (aka talents/feats
    • The game is as beautiful as it is deep and endless
    • Graphics are outstanding, controlls work as they should
    • he will also have at least a couple of spells, and a good collection of potions (I've used hundreds of Heal potions, they're the only way to survive some battles (you freeze action in the middle of a battle to embibe) as well as to replenish magicka).Save Game
    • Even running through them as fast as I could still took about an hour to complete
    • People say that faction quests are not as good as in Oblivion but it about evens out, imo
    • I have mined ore, smithed armor, and even chopped wood for a living, as well as destroying everyone in a city in this game
    • Look at Star Wars the force unleashed, that game made you feel like a bad a
    • This may disappoint some long-time RPG players who love directly tweaking their stats, but I found I enjoyed this differences in gameplay just the same as if I'd taken the time to raise this or that stat in another title.
    • I can't say enough good things about this game and if you don't already own it, scroll back up and get it on your computer as fast as you can
    • That is just my take on the game, it's really a believable world, and of course everything is always as good as you make it.
    • The quests are challenging, and require more than mere button-mashing (be prepared to do some thinking, as well as to make some important, game-changing decisions).Having put in a long night of playing my first character, I was very satisfied with Skyrim, and anticipated many, MANY hours of play
    • Con: Graphics aren't as wonderful as in previous games, which shocked me
    • One of the best things is you can play it as little or as much as you would like and have a great time.
    • Plus, it sucks a$$ to have to load the game back up, load the saved game, and redo everything you just did.
    • That particular dragon I couldn't kill as he never got close enough to me
    • I wish you could swing your weapons left and right as fast as you can click, and have them all coming in from different angles
    • There is a thick, leather-bound art book, a DVD on the making of the game that fascinated me (such as how they programmed a dragon's movements, how they came up with a written and spoken language for dragons, and much more), and of course the game
    • There's a nice big world to explore, and to some degree I feel like the developers really tried to expand from the quest grinding of "retrieve X, or kill Y"
