It's fun, and Bethesda has done a great job making a world that you feel a part of.

Fortunately, the users picked up the ball and have done a fantastic job of making great mods that make the game much more enjoyable than it would have originally been otherwise

You can, however, create and/or improve weapons and armor via the new smithing skill.- The skill system is significantly downsized

This game has excellent graphics and is a very challenging game.

We downloaded Steam and after about 3 hours tried to play the game and all we got was choppy graphics, conversations that didn't match the characters motions and constant crashing.

Some knock the graphics a bit, but I think they look pretty nice.

In my opinion the graphics are not all that bad, I am running the game maxed out on Ultra and its pretty

It is a huge game and has an incredibly beautiful world, offering so many hours and hours of fun and exploration!

Skyrim is a beautiful and vibrant world and it gives the player complete freedom

Skyrim's world is rough, raw and gritty, just like its inhabitants

Bottom line the game is a beautiful world in which to explore, and the combat is solid, and the amount of quests is more than enough

The open world can be distracting if you let it, but even then you will stumble into interesting and fun things to do

The game is more fluid with the new engine, and doesn't have as many bugs that Oblivion was plagued with

As far as game play, it is very much like Oblivion was.

If you loved Oblivion you will love this game even more.

I bought this game because I loved Morrowind and Oblivion

Anyways, if you like this type of game, with the questing and leveling up, than you should like Skyrim

I like many of the new functions and the huge story line that I still have only dented as I like to just explore while completing a game

In your two handed skill, you may have gained enough experience for one of the entry perks - a simple increase in damage to your two handed weapons use, or less stamina use for power attacks.

Con: Graphics aren't as wonderful as in previous games, which shocked me

Further down the 2h tree there is a power attack that sweeps all infront of you but its slow, and your character moves so its hard to line up

About 2 years ago, I began to slow my gaming experience down and just started to enjoy the game

Skyrim is, in my opinion at least, a fantastic game and the experience it offers is unmatched in the world of gaming

No other game offers the deeply satisfying experience that comes with exploring such a vast world

You will need STEAM online to play the game, but this is not a bad thing as STEAM allows for easy game updating and other online goodies

That particular dragon I couldn't kill as he never got close enough to me

After killing my third dragon or so, I found that the rest of the dragons were more or less killed in the same way, so after awhile, it was just going through the motion

When you kill a dragon, you absorb their soul to become more powerful.

With the dragons you just have to kill them, which is surprisingly straightforward (dragons can be dealt with relatively easily from about Level 8 or 9 onwards, maybe even lower if you trick the dragon into attacking a settlement or bunch of tough monsters, like giants)

If you like dragons, RPGs, sandbox-type games, or other games in this genre, I think you will enjoy this game a lot

In order to play the game, I would have to create a free steam account, which I refuse to do, even if I wasn't out of internet access 25% of the time (travel) or on dial up.

Can't play the game because STEAM won't work -- my computer is brand new and exceeds all requirements

I wish it had more RPG elements but with steam workshop and all the mods available the game has a lot of replayability

Clearly, the game was developed with consoles in mind ( and even then, the controls on consoles are pretty bad ) and it shows

great the control were good, and my pc could handle it.

However the controls are so bad that getting into this game is impossible for me

The controls feel a bit clunky and/or alien to this PC user but it is not a game killer

It definatly takes some time to master the controls and get the feel for a first person DOOM style of game

Besides, by the time that work out all the bugs, it will likely be half the price, too.

After suffering far too many game-crashing bugs, I abandoned the game

Also enemies don't pursue you like they did in Oblivion, in Oblivion they would chase you from the outdoors to the indoors and vice versa, here you can engage an enemy on the other side of a door leading to outside of a house and retreat through that door to heal without them pursuing you, if this is good or bad I won't speculate.

You may have 1 Dragon Shout equipped at a time and these can freeze an enemy, slow time, make you teleport 50 meters, create a storm, pacify enemies, breathe Dragon Fire, etc...

Sometimes they will die during a fight or get in your way, but generally I found them being helpful, even if all they did was act a distraction while I killed enemies

Not, you can kind of break this by exploring areas which are meant for higher level characters - in other words you can go off and get killed by more powerful enemies if you want.

She does sometimes get in the way, and actually she's pushed be into a trap or off a cliff from time to time...and has the annoying habit of tripping every trap she is near and will do so again and again in some places, and even reduces the experience points I could have got by killing an enemy before I do, but for Boss enemies and when dealing with multiple enemies she's a valuable ally

My arse hurts!-Travel to NEW destinations is way too slow, horses can't really run and are always killed fairly quickly and easily.-Skills upgrade menu is confusing

My horse can die, in combat or from falling off a cliff, what ever, but I can't seem to heal it

My horse died one day running on a trail which happened to have a rock in the trail that had fallen from a previous bobby-trap

Some folks don't mind replacing their horses when monsters kill them.

So I had to go to jail because of a glitch, however afterwards the horse was just fine and no problems after that.

Dark Brotherhood: You will mostly fast travel and the creative elements to kills have been removed (in Oblivion you were asked to kill a guy by dropping a moosehead hanging above him on his head -- not here)

The stories for the main quest and major side quests (The Companions, Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, College of Winterhold, and the Civil War) are terrific

I mean, much darker than the most heinous tasks for the Dark Brotherhood Quests were in "Oblivion"
