Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - PC

    • The weapons you get are fun to experiment with
    • Outside of alchemy, you can also enchant weapons
    • Unless you have the right perk, You should improve a weapon or armor by smithing BEFORE
    • I have had loads of fun slaying dragons, creating my own armor, enchanting my own weapons, mixing my own potions, and -- most fun of all, I think -- learning and casting my own magic
    • The game is not boring; you can do many things like mine for ore, craft your own weapons and enchant them
    • One Handed Weapon Melee + Shield, where you can attack, block, shield bash, and Power Attack
    • The bottom line was I had a blast playing through them - they keep you focused (one more quest to find out what happens, ah crap its 2 am ack!)You can also do daedric quests to get artifacts (very nice weapons/armor and enhancement items), become a vampire or werewolf if thats your thing, and craft your own weapons and armor and put a large variety of enchantments on them.
    • Also you dont feel powerful swinging your weapon
    • The first person is certainly the main way to play, but it's nice to have a 3rd person perspective so the player can see their awesome new armor, or even their new weapon.
    • Lots of internal improvements like cooking and improving weapons
    • Skyrim features a simplified Crafting / Enchanting System where you can create just about any weapon or piece of armor that you'd like.
    • Feel your weapons aren't strong enough
    • Or if you were like me and preferred swords over magic, well then you probably noticed the nifty glowing effects of the enchants placed on said weapon of choice
    • Those things aside, the sheer size and scope of the game makes you want to keep coming back, to find the next great weapon, or learn a powerful new spell.
    • You would have a difficult time finding that right necklace to equip or the right weapons to swap
    • To gain new enchantments you must find a weapon already enchanted
    • and that's that!Actually, fighting those pesky dragons, isn't really that hard...later in the game when you get to acquire some decent weapons.
    • Two Handed Weapon Melee, where you can attack, block, or Power Attack - costing you stamina.
    • I don't mean a dull sword is not a decent weapon, but I coulda done better with a sharp spoon!Just for the heck of it, let's say you are in a nasty
    • Now you can dual-wield weapons or, if you prefer a shield, can even use your shield as a weapon (which, of course, is the only realistic way to have it in a combat system).
    • The weapons can also glitch sometimes, such as faster reload periods on the bow and arrow, and then when you fire the arrow will just fall flat.5
    • Then, try again OR just vacate the area completely and come back some other time when you are armed with nasty weapons and grievously debilitating magic potions and you know for a fact that this time the dragon is GOING
    • Different weapons and armors further enhance a character and their abilities.+Can be played first person or 3rd person.
    • If you have a shield equipped, you can use it as an offensive weapon to bash enemies and can knock them off balance if you upgraded your blocking ability.
    • Can kill dragons (in fact, you will have to on occasion), and either sell their bones and scales, or use them to craft powerful weapons and armorIn conclusion, it is almost as if the minds at Bethesda took the best of Morrowind, the best of Oblivion, and combined them, improved upon that combination even further, and then added boatloads of new material.
    • Regarding Enchanting, you can use an altar to Learn an enchantment from any magical weapon that you find.
    • So, disenchanting a flaming dagger will enable you to enchant all weapons with fire damage later on.
    • Magic never gets strong enough to bother with, archery is pretty cool, some pretty cool weapons and quests to get em if you happen to stumble upon them in order (you won't, so their coolness will be lost on you), forgettable content, and too many boring dragon fights (blah after the first one)
    • Magic never gets strong enough to bother with, archery is pretty cool, some pretty cool weapons and quests to get em if you happen to stumble upon them in order (you won't, so their coolness will be lost on you), forgettable content, and too many boring dragon fights (blah after the first one)
    • The damage a weapon can do depends on its base as well as any augmentations
    • Apparel can (mostly) be improved (if armor or weapon) and/or enchanted
    • If you want to play as a female orc, who prefers two handed weapons over magic, have at it
    • The dinky game manual does tell how to ready a weapon, but not a spell; there is no digital manual of information to demonstrate the controls; and the forums are a joke in researching for oneself due to the sheer volume of the ONE lone forum where every post about the game, technical or otherwise, resides
    • Within crafting, you can also improve weapons and armor with grindstones and workbenches.
    • You can, however, create and/or improve weapons and armor via the new smithing skill.- The skill system is significantly downsized
    • So, if you found a sword of Fire Damage, you can learn how to enchant your own weapons with Fire Damage.
    • The game is as beautiful as it is deep and endless
    • Graphics are outstanding, controlls work as they should
    • he will also have at least a couple of spells, and a good collection of potions (I've used hundreds of Heal potions, they're the only way to survive some battles (you freeze action in the middle of a battle to embibe) as well as to replenish magicka).Save Game
    • Even running through them as fast as I could still took about an hour to complete
    • People say that faction quests are not as good as in Oblivion but it about evens out, imo
    • I have mined ore, smithed armor, and even chopped wood for a living, as well as destroying everyone in a city in this game
    • Look at Star Wars the force unleashed, that game made you feel like a bad a
    • This may disappoint some long-time RPG players who love directly tweaking their stats, but I found I enjoyed this differences in gameplay just the same as if I'd taken the time to raise this or that stat in another title.
    • I can't say enough good things about this game and if you don't already own it, scroll back up and get it on your computer as fast as you can
    • That is just my take on the game, it's really a believable world, and of course everything is always as good as you make it.
    • The quests are challenging, and require more than mere button-mashing (be prepared to do some thinking, as well as to make some important, game-changing decisions).Having put in a long night of playing my first character, I was very satisfied with Skyrim, and anticipated many, MANY hours of play
    • Con: Graphics aren't as wonderful as in previous games, which shocked me
    • One of the best things is you can play it as little or as much as you would like and have a great time.
    • Plus, it sucks a$$ to have to load the game back up, load the saved game, and redo everything you just did.
    • That particular dragon I couldn't kill as he never got close enough to me
    • I wish you could swing your weapons left and right as fast as you can click, and have them all coming in from different angles
    • There is a thick, leather-bound art book, a DVD on the making of the game that fascinated me (such as how they programmed a dragon's movements, how they came up with a written and spoken language for dragons, and much more), and of course the game
