Reviews around combat (5.00 of 5)

  • The combat feels smoother, faster, but mostly the same (which is good)
  • The new sound effects and speedy combat do on occasion make me feel like a vicious warrior - which I like a lot
  • Batman Arkham Origins is a legit game, and I think you should give it a chance before blowing it off, if only for the amazing combat and deep atmosphere and story.
  • Arkham Asylum and Arkham City were both beautifully made games with a fast, fun, and fluid combat system that they bring back in this game
  • The combat is more refined (some new animations even), the world is bigger, runs great, the story is great, the graphics look better (the PhysX is amazing); so most things have definitely been improved

Reviews around look (5.00 of 5)

  • well worth a look if you like open world fast paced games.
  • As for the technical aspects, she is certainly a visually stunning game, but unfortunately those pretty looks actually make the flaws even more evident, as it becomes obvious that there are major issues with everything from level design, to city design, to the hideous user interface for the maps & power ups purchase page
  • well worth a look if you like open world fast paced games.
  • This time around Tessellation is actually utilized, in the form of Batman's highly detailed cape, and the realistic looking and moving snow that covers the city.

Reviews around series (5.00 of 5)

  • great game, great series!
  • This was a present for my nephew, who loves this series, and it was everything that was expected
  • The reviewers are basically right - there is not much truly innovative and NEW about the 3rd installment in a very good series of games

Reviews around action (5.00 of 5)

  • I wish in the Challange mode or any time it comes to hand-to-hand combat during the game I could call let's say a glue grenade with hitting "5" only once for faster action, or have some kind of alternative to that in the game settings
  • I loved the action of the previous Batman program, so I eagerly bought this one.
  • This will be mostly critical review because there are some improvements that finally make the action game more like action game and not 3d Puzzle game, which I really hate Arkham City for

Reviews around graphic (4.42 of 5)

  • Regardless, I'd recommend that fans of the first two titles play through it, as the experience is still enjoyable and the graphics are increasingly impressive.
  • Two stars for the good graphics and somewhat ok story, and the new way to do investigations I found neat.
  • In my opinion, obviously, the slightly improved graphics is the only plus for considering this game
  • The graphics are truly a feat in engineering, every bit of this game looks awesome.
  • But other then that the graphics are great, sounds are good and Batman is kicking ass!

Reviews around gameplay (4.33 of 5)

  • Overall, the gameplay, the atmosphere, and the character development all were awesome
  • The main story isn't particularly long and it gets a little weird and annoying in places like when you go into the mind of the Joker, I thought that the gameplay for that sequence was a little awkward as was the sequence with the Mad Hatter
  • ***) is the weakest game in the Arkham trilogy, although if you really enjoyed the gameplay of the first two it will suffice
  • It was very immersive and the gameplay was very smooth.

Reviews around addition (4.21 of 5)

  • Great game and wonderful addition to the Batman Arkham gaming franchise
  • Although I don't believe that the quality of the overall game quite matches Asylum or City, I thought Arkham Origins was a great addition to the series
  • The quick travel batwing was a nice addition to the game and helped saved time in gliding from area to area in the city
  • It is a prequel, so it makes sense that it shouldn't have newer toys than the other games had, but still, there are a few neat little additions
  • The Batcave is a great addition as is actually being able to work with Alfred a bit

Reviews around time (3.75 of 5)

  • Attack warnings sometimes fail to appear, and hitting the counter button at the right time has no effect
  • Bought this for my son and he is having a great time playing it
  • Loved this game (although Bane pummeled me too many times to count)
  • Other times, instead of interrogating him, you'll choke him out - like Batman forget to let him talk
  • Regarding the PC port it is much more stable this time around

Reviews around story (3.12 of 5)

  • Although, in my opinion, this title is a step-forward technically and a step-backward story-wise from the prior two installments, the prior title were still among the best in gaming.
  • You have one major story line, several secondary story lines, and a number of "training scenarios", you can enjoy after completing the main game.
  • Although, in my opinion, this title is a step-forward technically and a step-backward story-wise from the prior two installments, the prior title were still among the best in gaming.
  • but there was nothing wrong with the previous UI.As I mentioned, the story that drove the first two games and made the player feel like
  • It quite literally is more of the same, albeit with a much better story than Arkham City and Arkahm Asylum, and for PC gamers, a more stable port

Reviews around lot (3.07 of 5)

  • Even if I could have gotten a code, I'm sure it would be an extremely disappointing game, lots of bugs and glitches from all the reviews it got.
  • The new sound effects and speedy combat do on occasion make me feel like a vicious warrior - which I like a lot
  • But I remain feeling like I am just 'going through the motions' a lot, and was not enthused this time around to yet again hunt down 1 billion riddler clues
  • I expected a lot from this game and was sadly and sorely disappointed with Arkham Origins
  • But I remain feeling like I am just 'going through the motions' a lot, and was not enthused this time around to yet again hunt down 1 billion riddler clues

Reviews around steam (2.28 of 5)

  • With the first disc inserted, the very first thing AO did was dump STEAM onto my computer, which forced the creation of a new account, and the sharing of my email address and personal information yet again with yet another company I do not plan to do much business with (Thanks for letting us know Amazon, or any other reputable review company)
  • This piece of junk requires a steam account, I hate steam and want nothing to do with them, and requires one to not only install the content of the three discs but also download a huge amount of content from steam
  • Not as perfect/smooth as in the Arkham Asylum

Reviews around guy (1.00 of 5)

  • Even if you can beat all the bad guys, in the end, it's still a huge waste of time and energy
  • Needs to have more to do in the open world than beating bad guys, perhaps more activity, but overall it was very good.
  • I like however the idea when you have to beat the crap out of some bad guys and enigma
  • The fact that a lot of the bad guys still think that Batman is a myth means that Black Mask's decision to offer a $50 million reward for Batman's head strains credulity as well
  • 4)The dumbest part is that even after the storyline is over and all you have to do is to investigate the remaining crime scenes or look for damn extortion files, there are still bad guys outside and they never go away

Reviews around glitch (1.00 of 5)

  • It was a really weird buggy glitch.
  • This was most disappointing to play a game for a while and get pretty far into it only to have a buggy glitch ruin the rest of
  • I feel that even though I couldn't finish out all the challenges because of the buggy glitch, I still no doubt got my $10 worth out of it from the challenges I did complete and the main story line.
