The combat seems easy until you start encountering higher tier enemies on different floors
Its tolerable when the theres no enemies, but the unyieldly controls+combat were a very poor mix that I hoped would be contained to one section but very

As a point of fact, my Alienware shows 8 core Intel processors at 2.9 gHz each, 16GB of the fastest memory available, 8GB of the fastest NVidia memory available, 500GB of the fastest SSD boot drive, 1 TB Hitachi drive at 7200 rpm, 4x HD resolution, overclocking to 4.4 gHz, and I got it new on sales for "only" $3,500 from Dell

I really wanted to enjoy this game because the special abilities look really cool when applied but hitting the quickload button after every single battle got old really quick.
I should be weak and frail in the beginning, gain some abilities that make me awesome for awhile until I come upon tougher enemies and I need to gain more abilities
Special abilities seem awesome when you get them and prove worthless when you try to apply them

Here are some quick thoughts on the game:Pros:- has some unique weapons and methods of play- lots of objects around to play with- save and restore the game state anytime, awesome- free demo availableCons:- when used with Steam, none of the data on the DVD is used.
There is an entire mystery to solve that unfolds as you explore while picking up new abilities and figuring out how to work different weapons
The good weapons are hidden really well and without them you don't really stand a chance or you just simply can't explore that area yet.

All in all though the game was an immensely positive experience that I highly recommend
While the combat is nothing particularly new, the experience as a whole somehow felt refreshing
Take a moment to think a bit and position yourself well or draw the enemy into a poor location for them and you'll have a much better experience with the combat

The poltergeist monsters are possibly the coolest and best-designed enemy I've seen in a first-person shooter.
The enemies in the game are my favorite in terms of their style and abilities
This game was fun for the first few hours, then enemies became too hard, puzzles were impossible, objective way-points were nowhere to be found
I always try to find alternate ways to move around and defeat the enemy.
I should be weak and frail in the beginning, gain some abilities that make me awesome for awhile until I come upon tougher enemies and I need to gain more abilities
