The Walking Dead: 400 Days [Online Game Code]
Platform:PC/Mac Download
Centered on a truck stop on a Georgia highway, this DLC episode for Season 1 of The Walking Dead by Telltale Games tells five linked stories of survival in the wake of the zombie apocalypse. From day 1 of the undead plague ...
(and I've paid more for this dlc than for the first 5 chapters). On the other hand, the gameplay is the same as in the original serie, so you will enjoy it (for no more than 2 hours!).
Not as good as the original story but still worth playing

The improved gameplay would do well to satisfy the hunger anyone waiting for Season two may have
Not the same as the rest of the game, but still great gameplay
so I'll simply state that the additional content (400 Days) fits nicely next to the base game play and story wise
Not as good as the original story but still worth playing
If you've played Season 1, and you can get this on sale, I'd recommend it, but for me (being a total cheapskate) I wouldn't have paid 5 bux, though I was glad to get it for what I believe was $1.25 on sale.

Obviously, if you have not played Season one, you absolutely should play it for the amazing storytelling and tense emotional undulations, you will not regret it and it will be the best thirty dollars you can spend on a good narrative-driven video
I love the storytelling in the game

For the most part I enjoyed "400 Days" but also felt it was a little short on time, shorter then any episode of season 1 which was a disappointment
Like, I liked Wyatt enough from the snippet we get of who he is, but suddenly driving into a possible zam while on the run and lost in the woods does not mean the characters should awkwardly discuss the situation with interrupting and inappropriate jokes for most of the scenario's 15 or so minutes, slowly droning on about the situation one second and checking oneself out the next, followed--finally--by the world's most melodramatic and somehow uninteresting game of rock, paper, scissors--granted, we do get a tense moment afterwards, but it's immediately (!) followed by an anticlimactic headlong rush into Russell's bizarre sketch."400 Days" does continue to improve chronologically in sucking you into situations at hand--i.e., not necessarily storytelling, e.g., for those who have played it, summarize the plot points of Russell's story and think about it--up to the beginning of the epilogue

Its a great way to complement the first season of the walking dead.
Telltale has said it's going to feed into the main bulk of Season two, and while you wonder how that will pan out, a little testament to the efforts to create a polished serial story, that point isn't going to matter much once you work your way through these nuggets of gameplay
Either way it is worth playing through a second /third time to see how different choices make the game play change.
You make timed decisions on dialogue, you occasionally have basically quick-time events or, "move target to right spot and click, usually for some brutal zombie kill," the game tells you that characters took notice of how you're responding in positive/negative ways, and the story plays out.
It's not very gameplay-intensive but is an amazing way to tell a story
Those flags, and the accompanying dialogue, just felt lazy, giving me as a player no room to hide behind the impacting illusion I sought as a fan of the phenomenal first season.
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS GAME UNLESS YOU ALREADY HAVE THE WALKING DEAD SEASON 1
I had watched Let's Plays of The Walking Dead Season 1 meaning it has been spoiled for me, and as a result I am not going to buy it
Thought was a different game from the like season one or two. needed to just have the first season to run this game

It left me wanting more of some of the stories, and admittedly wanting to kill off certain non-zombies, neither of which I got
and it's hard to kill the zombies sometimes because the cursor is very floaty like
It no doubt follows on the same dilemmas of living in a post-apocalyptic Zombie-infested world
