Reviews around rpg (5.00 of 5)

  • I have only played Mass Effect 1 for the time being, but I do enjoy RPG games like Skyrim, and Dragon's Age, but I wanted to try an RPG in space
  • So despite being an avid RPG gamer, I'm a little behind the curve and only got into the Mass Effect series fairly recently, despite some misgivings
  • Mass Effect is widely considered one of the best RPG series for a reason: the characters, plot, and storytelling is all excellent, and--in my opinion--some of the best examples available
  • The Mass Effect games are my favorite RPG series of all time, and some of my all-time favorite video games period.
  • : EPIC!This trilogy is one of the best RPG series I have ever played

  • The Best Sci-fi Trilogy ,if not the best game trilogy of all time
  • This is one of the greatest sci-fi video game trilogies ever
  • Pros:One of the best, if not the best, Sci-Fi Videogame trilogy ever!Material quality of the box, worth for collectorsAll three
  • It is a fantastic value for hundreds of hours of one of the best sci-fi game series to date
  • 3 great games forming one of the best Sci-fi story's of all time

Reviews around controller support (4.66 of 5)

  • No controller support, so there have been some growing pains, but nothing serious if you already play PC games to begin with
  • great games but controller support is a no brainer for games like this
  • Unfortunately Bioware didnt think to complete the controller support they started designing for ANY of these games
  • If youre a fan of PC games that support controller support avoid this trilogy until Bioware gets their head out of
  • No Xbox 360 controller support :( but still a great game trilogy

Reviews around price (4.58 of 5)

  • Also keep a look out if you can buy these separately at a cheaper price, because this collection is no different from buying the games separately.
  • The price for this set is great (at the time I got it for $10)
  • Absolutely not worth the price even when under $10.
  • Enjoy all three of these games and to think I got them all at once for an outstanding price
  • Its a great price for these games i love the mass effect stories and the online for mass

Reviews around trilogy (4.38 of 5)

  • In all, a GREAT series, but this trilogy as a collection is pretty disappointing.
  • I highly recommend the Mass Effect trilogy to any gamer!*For those on the fence about the Origin service, it has blossomed into a perfectly acceptable DRM
  • i LOVE this trilogy, mass effect is my favorite game of all time!great sale at christmas! No issues redeeming these with Origin :D
  • I cannot recommend this trilogy enough for anyone who loves an engaging epic adventure, and for the price, there's no reason to wait.
  • Its very unfortunate and disappointing to me as I love the ME trilogy

Reviews around code (4.35 of 5)

  • the code was good and the games work well with windows 8
  • The code did not work
  • After Origin is installed (and updated to the latest version), you're prompted to redeem your game code in the box, making all available games to you as a download
  • So the gist of the story is: even though you get a bunch of disks, you might as well throw them in the bin right after you receive them - or alternatively hunt around for a cheap and instant download code
  • the code was good and the games work well with windows 8

Reviews around play (4.28 of 5)

  • Mass Effect 1 is a classic, one of the best games I have ever played
  • No joke a played for 27 hours straight 3 separate times playing these games
  • these are some of the best games I've ever played and it come with like 6 discs
  • In hindsight, I wouldn't have wanted to miss playing Mass Effect, and I'm glad I got it for a good price.
  • Mass Effect was the most fun franchise I've ever played, each game gets better then the previous and Mass Effect 3 for me was a great ending but more importantly a great journey that really pulls you

Reviews around deal (4.16 of 5)

  • You'd have to be blind as a keeper to miss this deal
  • They spare no expense in regards to action, comedy, romance, and even anger as you make choices that will shape the future of the entire galaxy
  • It's still a better deal for those of us who are late to the series than buying all 3 games separately.
  • So, to me, $100 for 140+ hours of one of the best games ever is not necessarily a bad deal
  • Still probably the best deal for these games you can find

Reviews around character (4.09 of 5)

  • The characters are likable or not (i.e., you like the characters that are likable, and you don't like the bad guys...just like a movie).
  • Writing fluctuates in quality; most of it is very good, but a few characters are weak, especially when compared to a lot of their counterparts
  • They spare no expense in regards to action, comedy, romance, and even anger as you make choices that will shape the future of the entire galaxy
  • For example, at the beginning of the second game I missed the characters from the first game
  • The characters are excellent and the story is dramatic and engaging.

Reviews around gameplay (3.75 of 5)

  • I would give it 5 out of 5, but the gameplay for the first one is just not good
  • The second and third ones are awesome though gameplay and story wise
  • This is essential gaming for the memorable events, places, and characters with lasting choices (that don't prevent the inevitable) and varied, solid tactical gameplay
  • Well worth picking up for great gameplay and amazing story!
  • They spare no expense in regards to action, comedy, romance, and even anger as you make choices that will shape the future of the entire galaxy

Reviews around effect (3.36 of 5)

  • If you somehow haven't played a Mass Effect game (like me), you would be stupid not to pick this up.
  • Mass Effect 3 carries the brilliance of the second game for as long as it can
  • I will say it once and I will say it again, mass effect on PC is pretty
  • Played Mass Effect 1,2 & 3 on Xbox and loved it, great story & game play, really unusually great game
  • (If you research mass effect 3 dlc download error) this problem is known and old

Reviews around science fiction (2.36 of 5)

  • I found a best friend in a Turian C-Sec (Citadel security) officer who never doubted me
  • If you're into science fiction, heavy story/character development and video games
  • I found a best friend in a Turian C-Sec (Citadel security) officer who never doubted me
  • Bioware's Mass Effect storyline is the best science fiction writing since Star Wars and Star Trek, and will immerse you in its universe for a good 500+ hours (played through the first two games twice, and the 3rd once)

Reviews around game crash (2.18 of 5)

  • As others have noted, the lack of a lot of the DLC is a little grating, but the games themselves are just as fantastic as when they were released
  • As others have noted, the lack of a lot of the DLC is a little grating, but the games themselves are just as fantastic as when they were released
  • I found a best friend in a Turian C-Sec (Citadel security) officer who never doubted me
  • I don't know how, but I got through ME1 (again, after over a handful of issues) and was at least was able to start ME2 before that game crashed on me too
  • The representative didn't address my concerns/problems, they just asked me to go through a mundane checklist that had nothing to do with my game crashing

Reviews around customer (2.09 of 5)

  • Super fast S &
  • Basically, made me to waste few hours and made me unhappy customer
  • You lost a customer, and I am not the kind of person who says stuf like that
  • So, no customer support, a non-functioning game, and zero usabilty
  • Now I'm stuck with a game that won't work, and terrible customer service within Origin/EA that won't help

Reviews around hour (1.83 of 5)

  • of you spend another 2 hours trying to redo and redo and then fix the problem, but still it doesn't work
  • I got so caught up in them i would look at the clock and realize I had just lost 2 hours in what felt like minutes
  • After an hour on hold, another hour going over my account, deleted the game (Mass Effect is the problem), creating a legacy account through Pogo.com and then another hour plus reinstalling the game, it still doesn't work
  • Well worth it -- hours of fun and distraction for a minimal cost
  • Keeps crashing when I try to land on a planet?Already lost like 4 hours of gamplay, not sure if I'll be picking it up again.

Reviews around origin (1.77 of 5)

  • Rather than Origin being useful and alerting you that a patch is needed, you have to comb the internet and see that you have to visit the Bioware website, manually download a patch, and run everything in Admin mode to make the patch install
  • Even though I am not a big fan of Origin (I REALLY hate Origin), still worth buying.
  • I just wasted my money and I would never recommend Origin for anyone
  • When I inserted the discs, installed Origin (idiotic and useless program
  • Luckily, origin patched the game so it should work now, but was still very annoying

Reviews around program (1.38 of 5)

  • As others have noted, the lack of a lot of the DLC is a little grating, but the games themselves are just as fantastic as when they were released
  • Great games /Had severe program problems, would not play correctly, after purchasing the first and then the second having the same problems, I felt the dealer was using his
  • Before purchase, you should learn about and decide on whether or not you want to set up an origin account; the program is a huge pain, and has yet to install something I don't have to fix manually.
  • When I inserted the discs, installed Origin (idiotic and useless program

Reviews around disk (1.38 of 5)

  • Why bother sending out 6 disks if you have to download it anyway?
  • Mass Effect 2 disks were defective, and I tried numerous dvd restoration programs to try to recover the data but the vast majority of the disk was corrupt
  • Turns out that even though this game does come as a DVD box set, the disks are nearly useless
  • missing a disk and could not install would not accept install code

Reviews around people (1.33 of 5)

  • It's absurd, people complain that they can install it either once or not at all with purchased code, and thereafter installation always fails
  • I have seen that MOST people that attempt to get it to work are unable to and it is really frustrating
  • I think people like to complain for the sake of complaining
  • Some people with certain operating systems are having problems getting all three games to run and are, incorrectly, blaming EA's Origin client
  • even the ending people complained about on the 3rd which boggles my mind
