Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker

    • When Wicker is switched on, it removes three high-frequency rolloff filters that were added to the original Big Muff circuit to smooth out the sound.
    • now i switch to my fuzzy, distorted sound
    • Overall I would recommend - heavy duty construction, great sound.
    • Caution: if you're looking for a more vintage, 60's-style fuzz, this one might have too much oomph and not enough rasp, however you can roll off the guitar's volume knob to clean up the sound and you can get pretty close
    • it was too "full" for my taste; playing thru single coils, and switching to distorted sound, there was still a tonal "shift" to the bass end of the spectrum, even with the tone dialed to the treble
    • The tone wicker switch definitely brightens up the sound giving you a more defined high-end, but it also adds noise
    • The sound is amazing
    • Disconnecting these makes the sound a bit raspier and rougher, with a high-end frequency boost
