The projects are very boring, and very difficult to modify the software unless you are thoroughly well-versed in Arduino, highly recommend before you tackle this to get the Arduino for dummies and become intimately acquainted with the language, that will make the projects in this kit much more enjoyable I imagine.

I've enjoyed the simple projects

Lots of good projects from this starter kit.

The included DVD has some cool projects, but I found them too underexplained to really learn from

Speed and power not truly needed, simple projects are a breeze

Was able to get it setup on my Mac Mini in less than 15 minutes and the projects are super easy to follow.

So it's fun for neat-o.
