The unit will not get hot enough- will barely boil water at all.

As long as the chef remembers to turn the knob way down for lower heat (as low as 1), this is a great little unit.

This is a very solid unit and is small enough to have on the table for keeping things warm or lightly boiling if you want to have your soup hot.

Works well and seems to be much better made than the flimsy drugstore burner unit it replaced.

The entire unit continued to heat up to a point where I could not touch any part of it without having burned my hands
-
Good looking unit but no way of knowing how hot it is

Works great!I like that when cooking,I can turn it off/or down and it will stay hot for a while thanks to having a cast iron surface
