Hows about manufacturing a good string that the retailers can offer at a more realistic price..
The higher price is worth it cause these strings really last 3 times longer even with consistent gigging and long nights.
I tell my musician friends about these strings and they have all joined Amazon Prime for the best of everything at a great price.

I love Elixir's Nanoweb strings because they seemingly last forever without rusting or getting worn too quickly

However, I have now had the strings on for about a month, and the nanoweb coating is now flaking off, damaging the tone of the guitar
I love these strings they have great tone and last a long time.
They last forever, the tone is great, and they don't tend to cut into my fingers nearly as much as uncoated strings from other manufacturers.
The coating starts peeling off long before the tone goes dead or they break
