    Empire: Total War - PC

    • Sure, the AI could be a little better, but overall I was thoroughly enjoying the game
    • Buyer beware this game has the most dumb AI of all Total War series
    • Not only it had the stability issues, crashes, flickering graphics, but also very poor and broken AI
    • The AI is very stupid
    • Sieges are completely and totally broken, with the AI simply sending all its men towards the central flag and completely ignoring the enemy troops
    • The AI is bad, both at the campaign and battle level
    • Empire disappoints because of terrible AI, bland graphics and units, and the atrocity of forcing gamers to use Steam
    • The AI is also incredibly dense, especially for a strategy game
    • Of course, if you can get beyond the walls then the AI works fine like in field battles, but assaulting walls without artillery is not recommended.
    • However the AI in this game is terribly stupid, I play as the general I'll win the battle and get a 'Heroic Victory' I let the AI take
    • Of course, if you can get beyond the walls then the AI works fine like in field battles, but assaulting walls without artillery is not recommended.
    • The ship pathfinding may indeed be screwy, and the AI may occasionally run aimlessly, and the campaign map may lag at some points; but, alas, I will never know.
    • Sieges are not quite as tedious as before, as the AI will actually move to attack your fort.
    • The AI is incapable of organizing any sort of practical offensive, and will instead just raid towns ineffectually
    • The AI is terrible!
    • I have to admit there are times when I believe the AI made stupid mistakes and let up a little
    • Of course, if you can get beyond the walls then the AI works fine like in field battles, but assaulting walls without artillery is not recommended.
    • The AI is also still extremely dumb, even dumber than before.
    • It seems like the AI usually brings the battle to you even when you initiated the attack
    • The diplomacy AI is also quite cracked - the AI never makes peace on its own, and it is far too easy to make money
    • Recent patches have not changed this - in fact now the AI is a frothing lunatic that has minor powers like Hanover and Courland summoning massive armies and rushing you for no apparent reason
    • The AI in this game is legendary for being idiotic.
    • Some inconsistencies with the AI but overall worth the price.
    • : The AI never uses a large invasion force to attack you, either on land or sea, unless you are in their home territory, so there is no defensive strategy to the game, like in Medieval
    • Even though you've met your victory onditions, you still have to wait until the 19th century arrives to end the game, which means many more turns of watching the AI's ineffectual fumbling
    • While the naval battles are tolerably fun, the rest of this game reeks of sloppy and reckless programming, resulting in TERRIBLE AI, non-existent diplomacy, and frequent crashes
    • But here is what makes it so terrible when compared to M2TW:1: The AI is incredibly stupid
    • The battles are fun, and the AI is great
    • The AI is a a joke, especially on the campaign level
    • My experience with the Rome Total War mod "Napoleonic Total War II" and with the gunpowder units in Medieval II Total War left me a bit disillusioned in thinking the AI would have severe problems in infantry firing, as if one rifleman gets out of line, they all stop and wait for him to fall back in place before even reloading
    • They have very solid strategic AI track record, now they need to venture into 3D real time combat
    • the AI is utterly, and irretrievably broken
    • Alliances are made and then ignored as you sit back and watch a country that just allied with you attack one of your settlements on the very next turn
    • Allies and protectorates now work together as, in my Prussian campaign, I attacked Saxony and Poland and Courland declared war on me.
    • In fact you will lose them as they get stuck on everything
