The ship pathfinding may indeed be screwy, and the AI may occasionally run aimlessly, and the campaign map may lag at some points; but, alas, I will never know.

Even though you've met your victory onditions, you still have to wait until the 19th century arrives to end the game, which means many more turns of watching the AI's ineffectual fumbling

While the naval battles are tolerably fun, the rest of this game reeks of sloppy and reckless programming, resulting in TERRIBLE AI, non-existent diplomacy, and frequent crashes

My experience with the Rome Total War mod "Napoleonic Total War II" and with the gunpowder units in Medieval II Total War left me a bit disillusioned in thinking the AI would have severe problems in infantry firing, as if one rifleman gets out of line, they all stop and wait for him to fall back in place before even reloading

They have very solid strategic AI track record, now they need to venture into 3D real time combat

Alliances are made and then ignored as you sit back and watch a country that just allied with you attack one of your settlements on the very next turn

Allies and protectorates now work together as, in my Prussian campaign, I attacked Saxony and Poland and Courland declared war on me.
