It was a bit more expensive when purchasing the machine - but not having to worry about running out of ink is brilliant for my home office.
-
Overall, it's comparable to the HP, maybe a bit slower sometimes, but similar in performance otherwise
-
If a speck of dust gets into this area, as it shall, or worse a bit of ink from not-yet dry pen or printer activity, there will be streaks on copies or scanned images
-
For the price I would like to see a little bit easier setup and configuration, automatic self-updates, and a more refined user interface.
-
This printer was a bit tricky to set up
-
It does take a little bit of getting used to and does not work super quickly
-
Everything feels a bit flimsy and fragile for this much required mechanical interaction
-
I docked one star because I struggled a bit with the touch screen set up.
-
Ink:It does come with liquid ink that you put into the printer, and I'll admit, I was a bit hesitant about that aspect.
-
The printer is a bit pricey up front, but well worth it when you factor in ink costs ( we were paying about $50 per ink cartridge set, this still is roughly the same price for another set of ink refill bottles that completely fill each tank).
-
Additionally, using the keypad to type in your WiFi password took a bit of time as well without a touchscreen
-
Other than being a bit too noisy while it's printing, I have nothing bad to say about this printer.
-
Took forever to have it aligned and used a bit of ink cleaning and aligning the heads from the get go
-
I sort of miss not having an automatic document
-
n’t have complicated OCR work to do anymore and that’s why I stopped using ABBYY in the first place
-
n’t have to scratch with your fingernail to grasp it
