• Reviews around ink (2.74 of 5)

Epson Expression ET-2750 EcoTank Wireless Color All-in-One Supertank Printer Scanner Copier

    • I never imagined in my lifetime that I would see a consumer printer that actually came with enough ink to last more than a few weeks.
    • It comes with enough ink to last 2 or 3 years, depending on how much you print.
    • It took about 30-45 minutes of my time as I needed to fill the tanks with all four inks (very cool part, no spillage, the ink stops automatically and when you pull out the bottle, no drips!), allow the printer to prime the ink into the tubing, install the software from Epson (comes on CD or you can download a copy), and run some tests on the printer, such as alignment.
    • My company made us all buy this Epson because of the free ink
    • Users are left using Epson's low-gamut ink, or risking expensive repairs with unreputable third party inks
    • It's great quality - cheap ink - and very reliable.
    • The ink container negates having to replace ink cartridges constantly
    • Refilling ink is a breeze and Epson has done a great job with the design of this set up
    • I like that the ink is affordable and the ink containers are large
    • so you cannot accidently fill a tank with the wrong colored ink
    • I love the refillable ink, but so far not worth it!
    • The ink that works and comes with the printer is very cool to install and will not leak out
    • The design of the ink bottles is clever enough that you can't mistakenly insert the wrong ink into one of the ink well intakes.
    • If you put the wrong ink, YIKES!!
    • It is rally a nice printerThe ink will last me a lifetimeA lot better then fill your own cartridge
    • Amazing ink capacity!!!
    • Includes enough ink to print up to 14,000 pages black/11,200 color.
    • free ink or good printer?
    • Pour the wrong color ink into an ink tank and you've got a BIG problem
    • Finally a somewhat affordable ink jet that will not break the bank when it comes time to replenish the ink.
    • it is so nice to not be running to the store, to buy overpriced ink cartridges any longer.and it works well.
    • Love the large capaciity inks.
    • I love the idea of a big ink well that you fill once a year.
    • The main selling point of the ET-3700 is the alleged "low" ink cost
    • I gave it one extra star because the ink is cheaper.
    • It does take a bit of time to go through the setup, which includes connecting to the network, software/firmware update (we've never figured out why a brand new printer needs an update), ink fill (as opposed to inserting cartridges), downloading drivers, and then testing the printer.
    • This product comes with enough ink to last you for a while.
    • So if you are tired of printers with chips preventing you from refilling cartridges and want a good printer that is easy to use and refill with either factory or brand X ink inexpensive ink, strongly consider an Epson Eco-Tank printer.
    • Does all the stuff I need it to do and the ink doesn't drain me
    • Yes, the ink will ruin your clothes if it comes in contact with them
    • The ink is much easier to fill in this printer, and Epson has set it up so you cannot put the wrong color in the wrong ink well
    • I'm hopeful that due to the replacement system of the ink that it will not be so expensive to refill as that is where most companies make their money on their printers, through proprietary ink refills that are even computer-chipped to force you into buying their product.
    • I had to return because finding ink was impossible
    • Each ink well is color coded and each bottle is matched with bold color on the label
    • I love the refillable inks
    • I had to press downward on the bottle in order to engage the release mechanism that allows the ink to fill the printer's ink well
    • Filling the ink wells initially was very simple and the one thing Epson did was make it IDIOT PROOF, since I am sure there are those out there who might absentmindedly try to put the wrong ink color into the wrong well, which would be a disaster when going to print
    • but ink is so inexpensive!
    • After I went through initial setup of the printer, I ran some test copies of color photos (more on that later), at which time the Epson print queue dialogue box pops up (on your computer screen) and displays the level of ink in each ink well color
    • nice not having to purchase expensive ink cartridges
    • It's a little expensive up front, but the ink is SO cheap
    • But with this printer, once you dump the ink into the tank, there’s no easy way to remove it
    • Loading the tanks is easy, you just upturn the bottle (each tank is color coded) and you can watch as the ink fills the tank
    • According to the manufacturer, the included ink is enough to print 14,000 black or 11,200 color sheets
    • Ink is easy to fill but the black ink is a tinge too light.
    • Ink is very easy to load
    • The ink lasts a very long time, worth the extra money just for the ink factor.
    • After 4 years print head needed replacing so having read some reviews I opted for the Epson Workforce ET-3750: BIG MISTAKE.Pros; love the ink wells - I go through so many cartridges it was a joy to have the ink well
    • Once the ink in the wells have properly charged the print heads, you will notice that the ink well levels have gone down about 15% (you can see ink levels through transparent windows on the front of each well), at which point you are prompted to re-insert the almost empty bottles to draw out most of what was left in them
    • Wish I still had my 3 year old Epson - even though the ink was expensive it printed well and was efficiently fast
    • I hope the ink lasts as promised.
    • There is no way to put the wrong color ink in the wrong tank because they are all keyed to prevent that.
    • I like the thought I no longer have to purchase those expensive ink cartridges
    • Definitely not a cheap home printer (banking on the cheaper ink bottles to eventually offset the cost).
    • With a hassle-free liquid ink system that promises 6,500 black and white prints and 5,200 photo prints, or the equivalent of a ton of cartridges worth of printing, it may just be the last printer you ever purchase
    • Much better solution than dinky expensive ink cartridges.(bought at a local store due to an old printer recycle credit option)
    • Additionally it has a separate ink well for photo ink
    • It's awesome to not have to buy expensive ink every couple of months
    • Epson has a different shaped orifice on each ink well filling port, so it is impossible to insert the wrong color ink bottle into the wrong color ink well
    • But, don't throw away those mostly empty bottles because there is still some visible ink in the bottles, which you can use in the near future, to top off the wells after printing some documents or photos, thus not wasting any ink
    • I am so tired of paying a fortune for replaceable expensive ink cartridges, to the extent that one of the CEO's of a printer manufacturer said they could "give away the printers for free since they make all their money on the ink."This printer does away with all that and has so many added features, if it performs well in the next six months I will replace ALL our printers with this one
    • Here's the bottom line: you're over-paying for a very basic printer that comes with a lot of ink and has cheap ink refills.
    • (yeah the ink may be cheap, but it prints worse than printers I used 20 years ago).
    • I seriously can’t tell the difference between photos I print and those that I order from the store.- Ink is crazy efficient
    • I applaud Epson for getting rid of Ewaste and ridiculous ink costs, but this tiny engineering detail, or customer service deficit necessitates a return
    • It's a higher cost to buy an inkjet style printer, but it offsets with cheap ink refills, and the bottles included in the box will last you about two years.
    • I'm kind of a klutz, and I kept worrying about ink going everywhere, but the mating between the ink bottles and the tanks prevented any leakage.
    • So SO much better than the stupid ink cartridges
    • its fast enough for home use and small office use!ink lasts longer
    • Epson has a different shaped orifice on each ink well filling port, so it is impossible to insert the wrong color ink bottle into the wrong color ink well
    • I am so tired of paying a fortune for replaceable expensive ink cartridges, to the extent that one of the CEO's of a printer manufacturer said they could "give away the printers for free since they make all their money on the ink."This printer does away with all that and has so many added features, if it performs well in the next six months I will replace ALL our printers with this one
    • For a typical mix of black-and-white and color pages the cheaper ink of the ET-3700 will eventually make up for the lower initial cost of the HP 6968 and start saving you money
    • The Ecotank printers turn that model on its head and sell the printers at profit at higher prices upfront and offer cheap environment-friendly ink
    • With a hassle-free liquid ink system that promises 6,500 black and white prints and 5,200 photo prints, or the equivalent of a ton of cartridges worth of printing, it may just be the last printer you ever purchase
    • This new system eliminates that issue and also makes the Epson ink so inexpensive that there is no temptation to go for after market ink
    • great and large capacity ink is such a relief
    • Firstly, there’s a risk of carelessly putting the wrong ink in the wrong tank
    • Looking at the Epson web site, ink is available at very reasonable pricing considering the number of pages each bottle is good for
    • All in all, a little investment of time upfront is well worth the claimed long lasting ink
    • It's only selling point is the cheap ink.
    • Ink for this Epson is practically free
    • Great printer awesome Ink capacity, sharp pictures!
    • The main attraction of these EcoTank printers is the large tanks and cheap ink to fill them with
    • The ink is super easy to load, and will save us a bundle of money over the life of the printer
    • It wastes about 1/4 of it's ink priming and cleaning the system2
    • I'm sure there is a good reason for the hefty footprint of this printer (its twice the size of our last Epson printer), but to me, the features are similar to our old printer except for the really cool ink tanks, which honestly don't take up much more space than the old cartridges
    • and you can print ton's without having to buy expensive ink cartridges
    • The ink is much easier to fill in this printer, and Epson has set it up so you cannot put the wrong color in the wrong ink well
    • Wife will love all the ink.
    • Well, it's above average and the ink lasts
    • The cartridge- free ink is the main feature that attracted me to this printer, as I get tired of constantly replacing ink cartridges
    • No disposable ink tanks or wasted colours so better for the environment.
    • Based on our normal relatively low household usage, I predict it came with enough ink for 3 years of printing.
    • The best part is I do not have to worry about expensive INK.
    • Ink (at least this liquid ink) is cheap.
    • I saw this Epson printer and while it was considerably more expensive than the liquid gold ink printers, the ink was cheap
    • The tanks weren't actually empty yet, so I still have more ink in the second set of bottles to top off again
    • Ink tanks at last
    • I was told the reason for that was that people steal the ink by siphoning it out of the tank
    • I was thrilled with how easy the ink was to fill and not having to replace it as often as my old printers ink
    • Each ink set should have enough ink per specs to print up to 14,000 black/white pages and 9,000 color pages.
    • We currently have an HP Office Jet Pro 8600 that we have had excellent luck with, but the ink is very expensive
    • The design of the ink bottles is clever enough that you can't mistakenly insert the wrong ink into one of the ink well intakes.
    • Epson has done a good job of making the ink filling directions understandable and making the actual process as easy as possible.
    • Printer manufacturers for years now, including Epson, have been almost giving away printers so that we have to buy overpriced teeny tiny ink cartridges and this is biggest reason I stopped printing unless absolutely necessary
    • The problem is that inking these printers drives me to the poorhouse and I often stop printing for months at a time simply because I can't afford the ink or the photo paper
    • I love the refillable ink, but so far not worth it!
    • So glad to get away from having to buy expensive ink so often for the Canon
    • The ink is very easy to fill
    • Works great ink is cheep
    • The ink IS easier to load than the previous generation though
    • It's great quality - cheap ink - and very reliable.
    • There is enough ink to fill the reservoirs two complete times.
    • Great ink value!
    • This is a great little inkjet printer that does not use expensive ink cassettes.
    • While this may seem like a long time, it is worth it because, a) the ink wells are huge meaning a lot of printing before they run dry, and b) Epson gives you two bottles per color; each ink well holds one bottle
    • The inks were very easy to fill.
    • Over the years I have moved to only using laser printers because I hate how fast ink jet cartridges empty
    • This new system eliminates that issue and also makes the Epson ink so inexpensive that there is no temptation to go for after market ink
    • So far its been great using it and best of all, after 2000 prints, the ink has barely been dented on the ink levels
    • Quick set up, fast printing and ink that lasts.
    • Ink was easy to install
    • It is soooo nice not having to replace costly ink cartridges all the time, and not having to figure out how to recycle ink cartridges
    • The quality of the product labels produced on the same Avery labels was outstanding and not visually different than the HP7520.Loading the ink with the bottles, in my opinion, was trivially easy and clearly thought was put into the system in this regard (the bottle stops filling the tank when the tank is nearly full, and didn't leak during removal even when the bottle had ink remaining in it)
    • If you follow the directions closely you fill the tanks, then charge the ink through the screen prompts, and then top off the tanks with the original bottles.
    • The print quality is good and I find that I print quite a bit more now that I’m not bound to foolishly expensive ink
    • The problem with that one was that the ink dried in the print head and print quality was really bad
    • This printer is supposed to have enough ink to print 14,000 pages in black, or a single Stephen King novel
    • Ink does not come out with the bottle upside down, until it is fully seated in the ink well
    • Because of the poor quality ink, the ET-3700 is not shuitable as a photo printer
    • Previously I had an HP printer that sucked up the ink like mad and the cartridges were very expensive to replace, so I had no alternative but to give it to someone else and look for a less expensive option
    • Ink is also available at other resellers but not that I could find on Amazon, yet
    • No ink mess, nice system
    • This ad does not mention that you have to replace a "maintenence box" quite often where ink gets dumped
    • The box contained enough ink to fill each EcoTank, and an extra set of ink, one full size bottle of each color, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black.
    • I started by filling each tank with the appropriate ink
    • There is enough ink included in the box to fill up the tanks twice which should be enough to last for two full years of average use
    • I highly recommend that you set this up when you are *free* from *interruptions* as you want to make sure that you put the right color ink in the correct tank, as there are no do-overs on that part.
    • Besides being great for mobile printing, the fact that you do not have to constantly buy expensive ink cartridges, (that are also getting harder to recycle) makes this a real winner.
    • Thanks to a smart design, pouring the ink is easy.
    • Replacing an HP printer and all that expensive ink
    • The blacks aren't as dark as the HP inks
    • Great printer and you get to say good bye to expensive ink cartridges.
    • Easy set up, Great quality and ink seems to be staying moist and not evaporating, as I think the cartridges do
    • For only $54.00, I had enough ink to last what I thought would be two months - compared to over $100.00 for the HP cartridges - which last at best, three to four weeks with the volume of color printing that we do.
    • No disposable ink tanks or wasted colours so better for the environment.
    • In last couple years I started buying generic cartridges which, although relatively inexpensive, seemed to be poorer quality ink and ran out more quickly.
    • I love that the ink is so easy to reload and involves almost no waste, and I love that you can view the ink levels from the front and don't have to just "trust" it to read a covered cartridge deep inside the machine
    • but I’m sure we will make up the difference by not having to purchase expensive ink cartridges
    • I have never had one in any of the 5 different inkjet printers that I have had, over the years, including HP (2 different models over time), Canon (worst ink hog on the planet), Brother, Epson XP-820 (also an ink hog, considering that I never print in color, and yet this printer exhausts all of the XP-820's color cartridges just by going through regular print head cleaning cycles even though I print exclusively in black/gray scale, by deselecting "color" when I print)
    • Reasonably priced ink refills, very long time between ink refills, eco-friendly (no disposable cartridges), fast, quiet enough, easy connectivity, easy to use
    • Ink was easy to to
    • My delight was the ink
    • this come with enough ink to last for tons of printing
    • Each bottle can fill the corresponding tank if empty and still have left over ink to top up with later
    • This printer sounded too good to be true - never having to buy another expensive ink cartridge?
    • It is now impossible to pour wrong color ink in the wrong tank (bottle nozzle and tank receptacles have unique keys for each color.
    • Enough ink for 2 years of printing...
    • No need to purchase expensive ink cartridges and comes with lots of ink
    • I love the ink wells!
    • I love the ink wells!
    • DRYING- One of the biggest enemy for inkjet printers is the issue of ink drying and clogs if they are not used frequently enough ...
    • The ET-3700 can't even produce a decent ink cost, which is its main selling point
    • what the other ones do it’s totally worth it because the ink is so much cheaper
    • All page capacities for ink and toner were based off what the manaufacturer claimed, and the pricing for replacement ink and the printers was based off the best available Amazon price on April 23, 2018 using only genuine OEM ink/toner
    • No Ink Problems!
    • A maintenance box on most printers is basically a "wasted ink" reservoir with paper filters in them (like the air filter on your car) , which receive and soak up that cleaning cycle ink
    • I sort of miss not having an automatic document
